  1. Is there an echo in here?
  2. We met with Cerra and apparently did the best PowerPoint presentation since Colin Powell to the UN in 2003. You plan for scenarios and get ready to pull triggers.
  3. When we have the pressure on the footy like last Friday - our forward line looks very potent. So will this thread die? I hope it does…
  4. Yeah, that was interesting although I wouldn’t think any player would admit to loading as it is admitting to ‘excuses’ in effect. So not surprised he downplayed the inference. Interestingly, he said Goodwin was impressed with training for 10 weeks and that the impact his been late from training to game day. Does that mean he wasn’t impressed previous to that? Those banked wins in the start of the year are so curious to me now; were we playing well or just better on latent talent? Did PA and GWS really need to holistically change how they play to lessen the damage? Might have been intimidation through reputation.
  5. What do you think?
  6. I agree. This game is ruthless. We got him in case of emergency and we can still break that glass and be thankful for him, who knows?
  7. Brayshaw in the middle now puts Dunstan further down the depth chart. Will be tough for him.
  8. The correct thing to say is we are most likely not dropping ANB for an inconsistent season. That’s what it has been. His leadership and his role helping Petracca make him very difficult to replace but he has been down on his 2021 output.
  9. I agree with the premise, makes the take of @DeeSpencerthat McStay is equal to Angus Brayshaw even more laughable. McStay lucky to stay in this Lions team.
  10. Toby Greene is, so that’s a no.
  11. That’s not necessarily the case, he is a capable back up ruck and we may have an opening in 2023.
  12. If your choice is between Weid and McStay; you need to leave the store. We’re not shopping for Valentine’s gifts here.
  13. It doesn’t. And he said “maximise his time here.” People can imply what they want, Simon isn’t an [censored].
  14. You implied, and I inferred.
  15. People are capitulating, people are referring to me as “someone” like I am DeeSpencer… What is going on?
  16. Oh, ok. I will let Goodwin know. Although, Geelong have lost prelims and GFs the last decade against teams lower on the ladder… And anything can happen when big finals are played at our home ground and not theirs… But no, you’re right, let’s just give up.

  18. Don’t want to be too negative, Jaded. ANB has things to do to release Petracca. I would put Melksham on Daicos and as for Moore, can we just not kick it down his throat?

  20. Harmes is more limited in that he can’t play a wifey different role like Gus can. At this point, it doesn’t matter. Gus should stay in the midfield and Harmes can compete with Sparrow for the last rotation spot or maybe ANB’s role. It’s tough but that is footy. Edit - he can do what Melksham does defensively but Melksham has better forward craft. Big decisions…
  21. The main problem with Grundy is that he is not very capable as a forward. He would push Gawn to FF perhaps 2 years too early. On the flip side, maybe it does keep Gawn playing longer…
  22. Maybe the 3 months off were good for his body…
  23. Is that a rhetorical question?
  24. That’s the thing that gives me pause.
  25. Crossing bridges and all that
