  1. From the ghostwriter: Morninā€™ Kitty Kat! Todayā€™s observationsā€¦ The boys were out on the park early today. No Clarrie. No Riv. Ricky Lever was there, as was Salo. Tmac was there but didnā€™t train. He stood on the sidelines drinking coffee. Spargz was also there but of course he wasnā€™t training with the others. Heā€™s been told heā€™ll be training with them post-Xmas. Itā€™s been a long recovery but they donā€™t wanna rush him back. He hasnā€™t lost any of the muscle definition he was rocking last preseason. He chews gum and walks around like he couldnā€™t possibly be any more relaxed. He said thatā€™s because heā€™s ā€œbored sch!tlessā€ walking/running in straight lines which heā€™s been doing solidly every day for the last six months and is looking forward to being able to run and turn in different directions. #AchillesWoes Andy is back in #45 and is very happy about that, his permanent number. Kolt was again wearing #12. He chose #39 last year but likes #12 so itā€™ll be no surprise when heā€™s given #12 later this month when jumper numbers are revealed. Tom Campbell was in civvies again because they still havenā€™t got his kit ready. He thinks theyā€™ll wait until numbers are assigned before giving him his kit. Heā€™s looking forward to ā€œhelping Max.ā€ Personally I think theyā€™ll work really well together because thereā€™ll be no clash of egos the likes of which can bring a ruck combo undone. Tom knows his place, so to speak. IMHO A lot of goal-kicking practice. Fritta and Salo were actually competing to see who could kick the most posters.šŸ˜Fritta won. Luker was at the W final on Saturday night with Kolt (Koltā€™s girlfriend plays for Hawthorn). Kolt came down after the match (wearing a Hawks scarf šŸ«£) to say hello but Luker wasnā€™t with him, heā€™d gone home right on the final siren. Why? Because he goes to bed at 8pm every night. šŸ˜³ Heā€™s 19 going on 90. He doesnā€™t deny this and after training was delighted to be going home for a nap. Bless him. Sesto didnā€™t train with the main group because of hammy awareness but reiterated that thereā€™s no concern. Theyā€™re just being super careful with him. He was running with no apparent issue. Tommy Sparrow applies sunscreen to his ears only. Training is at Goschā€™s this Wednesday and Friday at 10am. Will send a report to you again on Wednesday Kat, but likely not on Friday because 37 degrees says no. šŸ‘‹ XXX
  2. I should be getting a 40 year milestone pin with my membership this year, which will be nifty.
  3. Did your premium membership package come in the box? I haven't received my pack yet, but I really loved the box it came in last couple of years.
  4. Ghostwriter Report: Observations: We have a new member of staff: a strength and conditioning coach named Tom Couch whoā€™s the son of (the late) Paul Couch. Seems many thought he was Harry Sharp despite being significantly older. Tom Campbell was on the track very early, one-on-one with a trainer. Heā€™s ā€œa little behind the rest of the boysā€ in terms of training. Mitch Cleary received a tweet telling him Clarrie was here so he hotfooted it down. He was flustered and asked the slightly deranged regular if Clarrie was out on the field yet. She told him yeah. He said isnā€™t it great to see Clarrie back? She replied ā€œYes and even better that heā€™s in great spirits, heā€™s fit and firing and canā€™t wait for the season to start.ā€ Mitch said, ā€œOh, then I suppose thereā€™s no need for me to be hereā€ and he turned and pretended to walk back from whence he came. He laughed and said ā€œJust kidding, just kidding!ā€ This goes to show you even the media know the media suck. The boys were running laps in small groups. Sesto wasnā€™t participating. Nothing to worry about though. Itā€™s just that he felt something in his hammy. On one of the drinks breaks, after a particularly strenuous drill some of the young guys were sitting on their haunches, namely Pup, Howesy, and AMW. Tommy Sparrow approached them and said, ā€œCome on boys. Body language, remember? Get up, get up, get up!ā€ They promptly stood up. The young brigade are training at AAMI Park early tomorrow morning. The older guys have the weekend off. Selwyn asked Clarrie if he had plans for the weekend. Clarrie said, ā€œYeah Iā€™m hittinā€™ the [censored] hard for two days. Yourself?ā€ LOLS all round. Lucky Cleary wasnā€™t there to hear it. šŸ™„ Koltā€™s girlfriend plays for the Hawks. Heā€™ll be at Ikon tomorrow night and was pleased to hear that a few of us from the DA will be there to cheer on the Hawks (Loveya Westy and Casey). Leb spent a lot of time running around the boundary. Nothing to worry about. Tom Couch has had input there, he likes to ā€œmix it up.ā€ AMW was wearing #34 but only because his own jumper was ripped during training on Wednesday. Theyā€™re training at Goschā€™s on Monday morning, they leave to attend the camp in Bright the following Monday and at this stage (because of the draft next week) there wonā€™t be any sessions for the remainder of next week. Ghostwriter out šŸ‘‹
  5. David Zita from Fox has posted a video on Twitter from training, he must be there too.
  6. Just clarifying - is Mitch Cleary there, or did DL mistake Harry Sharp for him? I'm confused. Although it's not like they look like one another.....
  7. I was going to ask him how he can see through the egg on his face....
  8. The sun's out for you today! I take it by yesterday's club media, Harry Sharp's arrived now. I'd be interested to hear how he goes, presuming he'll be at training.
  9. I found a photo of the Suns cheer squad https://images.app.goo.gl/HN9KNzvkv8jf7Nsr6
  10. Are sharks more or less aggressive than lions? Tigers? Devils? Swooping annoying magpies? Asking for a friend. Even swans can have their moments of aggression.
  11. The Suns have fans? Who knew?
  12. exactly!
  13. Exactly my point. I did know that, my post was aiming for the facetious. Them bleating about how unfair the advantage Victorian clubs get over interstate clubs is ridiculous when they can't see past their own noses. That's why I'm still incredibly angry about the whole Mac Andrew farce.
  14. Sadly I donā€™t have enough in the bank to upload the photosā€¦.
  15. From my exclusive Ghostwriter: Despite the weather there were a few regular trackies there today. Training sessions have been cancelled due to the rain, so it was awesome that they not only went ahead today but didnā€™t modify the session. Again, it was a serious affair, no holding back. Gotta admit I didnā€™t see a lot of the session (folks insisted on goddamn earbashing me the entire time šŸ¤„šŸ˜). What I can tell you is that pretty much every player now has runnerā€™s legs, especially their calves. I took pics of such, Kat; hopefully you have enough pic allowance to post them. Another sign that an emphasis has been put on running is that they all seem much faster and have more stamina, unlike last yearā€™s first couple of preseason sessions where there was much sucking in of air following running. Kolt was wearing #12 but I doubt itā€™s permanent since he chose #39 for a reason. Again no SM23 in attendance. JA26 ran laps the entire time. Seemed to be moving perfectly fine though. Fritta hit the track earlier than everyone else, as did Tmac and Vines. Pup Brown can run! And run and run and run. Blink and you miss him. Same players today as were there on Monday with the addition of Riv and Spaz. Luker is definitely bigger now as has already been mentioned, but up closeā€¦ geez Louise! Heā€™s muscle upon muscle and heā€™s grown in height. Heā€™s still settling into life in Melbourne, is happy living at Geoff Porzā€™s along with Kolt. I told him he clearly does gym every day. He said, ā€œI have to.ā€ I said, ā€œBut you like it, right?ā€ He said, ā€œYeah.ā€ I said, ā€œBe honest.ā€ He said, ā€œYeah nah.ā€ šŸ˜… ā€˜Til next time, Kat šŸ‘‹ xxx
  16. I've been saying for a while, one of three things will happen to the Suns - either fold, merge or relocate. They're simply not viable as they are. As for the new logo, I reckon the Year 7 Visual Communication Design class at my school could come up with something better.
  17. Well, that frees up two rookie spots, potentially one for Noah.
  18. Hope he doesn't get lost on the footy ground, we might not be able to find him. Unless he's wearing a striped top, beanie and scarf.....

this song wasn't from the 70s, though, it's a new song.
  20. How does he even qualify for the Gold Coast Academy program given he's neither indigenous or African? Oh, Gold Coast. Cynicism mode disengaged.
  21. She's got a better understanding of team spirit than Birch. Ooops, I didn't say that! Seriously, though, you cannot find a happier player at Melbourne than Maeve. She's so grateful to be at the club, and has the best attitude.
  22. I can't wait to see what he brings next year. I've been on the Taj Woewodin fan club for a while now.

I still love Macchiavelli and the Four Seasons. Particularly All Homeboys are D*(&heads
  24. Best compliment Chin could ever get :)
  25. I'll be happy to get a certain crow back, though.....
