CASEY: Rd 20 vs Brisbane Lions
Dont have insight on Lindsay, could be myster injury of the week or they've put him on ice for the rest of the year due to his limited pre season

CASEY: Rd 20 vs Brisbane Lions
Sharp is emergency for the 1s and the Casey team is already in Brissy

May to Tribunal
So Newcombe supposedly does everything right by 'choosing to tackle' but the outcome is exactly the same as the May incident. Sounds like MROs recommendations on how to keep players safe are absolute rubbish.

Farewell Charlie Spargo
He was never quick and some poor injury management has made this issue much more apparent. I would offer him a 1-2 year deal to see if he can get back to his best. Might be tempted by the new coaching appointment. We are severely lacking experienced players in the 25-28 age bracket and I don't think we can afford to lose many more. Sidenote. Achilles injuries are incredibly debilitating. Probably more so than an ACL these days. They destroy your muscle density in your calves and take so long to recover from. Looking at the NBA, many players suffering from achilles tears or ruptures never returned to decent form.

Simon Goodwin Sacked
Disagree, as others have stated his honesty is refreshing. It gives us a glimpse into the thoughts of the playing group and something good to yarn about on DL.

Who said he can't speak for himself? Was not me Just sounded like a player content, not a player striving for a premiership

Farewell Judd McVee
Wouldn't mind seeing McVee on the wing at center bounce. Not quite physical enough to be a starter mid, but great runner, great skills and can involved at stoppage still.

I never said anything about recruiting an old school belligerent coach. But when your captain says we lack ruthlessness and we need to learn how to win, how could you not want more from your coach or department? We all know this group can achieve more than they have the last 2 years.

I think some of these players are too comfortable being comfortable When Max was discussing ruthlessness, it honestly sounded like he was trying to convince himself to be ruthless A bit of disruption might be good for these boys

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Seems like he had the opportunity to coacht the last 3 games and chose not too

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
My preference would be a first timer such as Daly, Montogomery, Enright to take the senior coach roll I am also gunning for an experienced midfield strategy coach and sending Jones/Radford packing. I would be offering this role to a previous senior coach such as Longmire, Simpson etc. Tim Lamb and Richardson should also be shown the door.

Trade Targets
Hawks supporters seem to be happy to see him out the door. They have plenty of young inside mids like Hustwaite who can perform the same role. Massive ball butcherer too.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
IMO a new coach will want to see what he can do with what he has. I would be surprised to see key senior player being traded as sacking a coach already messes with team moral. Trading out a loved team mate would mess that chemistry/moral even more.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Must give a ring to Cam Bruce and Corey Enright IMO

So long Goody, thank you for the premiership

Time to go Goody?
I wonder if the board has given Cameron Bruce a call? Long tenure as an assistant coach at Hawks and currently leading an all star midfield at Brisbane. The current board likes to recruit MFC alumni as well.

PODCAST: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Wing positions and predictions. If Jai can lock down a wing role in 2026, where does that leave Lindsay? Thoughts on seeing Jai/Langdon back on the wing. Lindsay at HB and Windsor continuing an on-ball roll.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
A forward half role could be refreshing for Trac. While his clearance kicking under pressure is not good. He can be a Dangerfield/Papley like presence in the F50 with his physicality. He is faster than most key defenders, and stronger than most medium defenders. I really don't see him getting upset about being moved out of the middle, I think he will do what is asked of him in a new role.

My 3 word player analysis V West Coast
Sparrow had ~80% TOG and was the 2nd lowest ranked player in the team

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Grundy has had a great 2nd half of the year, and a great game v Essedon. But really, getting 40 touches against a semi retired Todd Goldstein is not what gets you an AA jacket. Saying that, I would be happy to see Gawn and Grundy make the 22.

Both on the wing

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
I agree, Petty has played forward all year and probably won't be shifted. English is also in fair form and will make it harder for Gawn to float back.

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Baptism of fire for Adams to go up against Darcy/Naughton Much prefer the above

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Culley, wingers with a strong aerial game are gold. His game reminds me a lot of Ollie Dempsey. He is not super fast but gets himself to contests and some marks today were super. Jack Viney also justified his inclusion. Playing with an injury, he did not take a backwards step. The unrelenting physical pressure lifts the players around him. I enjoyed seeing Windsor involved more around stoppage. He is not a natural contested ball winner but he found himself in the right spots to run and carry and gives us a different look.

GAMEDAY: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Decent game for Jai, wingers who can float forward and kick goals are very valuable in today's game
