  1. Do you mean despite his reputation? Rod had great skills, and was a beautiful kick. I suspect his white line fever may have been tempered somewhat in today's game.
  2. Nice work, although I am not sure I would have kept the sponsor logo.
  3. From memory, most of the Dee's supporters were up the other end. It would have been a draw if he kicked it. I thought we had won, and it was only when the Bombers fans started on me that I realised we had lost.
  4. I went to Windy Hill once, it was the game Steven Clark was kicking for goal after the siren, and the bombers fans ran onto the ground and made sure it wouldn’t go through the sticks. Feral Bombers fans, it was a scary escape. I went to Princes Park several times. I didn’t mind it except when we had to play home games there. I remember a game versus West Coast and they thrashed us by100 plus points. It was the angriest I have ever been at the footy. Waverley wouldn’t have been bad if it wasn’t at the a.. end of the world and a mongerel to get out of the car park, especially in the wet. It had a beautiful playing surface though.
  5. You are only as good as you're last game.
  6. He didn't need to be quick. His ball use and decision making was exquisite.
  7. You might want to check the terms. I have a friend who has only been tested today, and said he could home quarantine in QLD until he gets the results.
  8. Where did you get tested?
  9. No, I'm Leah, and so is my wife.
  10. Sorry, I was just having a bit of fun. No offence meant.
  11. hmm...what about STFU? 🤣
  12. I don't think so, he looks a bit younger. He was definitely at the game. The bloke who I gave my barcode to him up with him a few days after the game. Said he was rapt.
  13. Great. i guess that means we will need to offload Clarrie, Dogga and Lever in 2 years time because we are paying to much for Tmac and BB.
  14. When my sister, a Hawthon supporter, had kids i gave each one of them a Melbourne guernsey. None of them really got into the footy, and still don't today. When my brother had kids, I did the same. My brother isn't what you would call a die hard fan, but this year footy became a bit of relief from the drudgery of Covid. His 6 year old daughter would often sit and watch the footy with him if it was in the right time slot. My niece has not taken off her Melbourne jumper since Sunday, and is so proud to be a Dee's supporter. My brother thanked me for getting her a jumper with Trac's number, however my sister reminded him it was a hand me down from one of her kids. She also reminded me that when i gave it to my nephew I told her it was the number of a future captain of the MFC, Brock Maclean. No wonder they didn't get into the footy! What is great about the win is that a whole new generation of kids will be proud to wear our colours. My niece is already pestering me to take her to her first footy game.
  15. The cheese board is genius.
  16. Moving Dogga to the ruck was the game changer. Martin was playing the man and not the ball while Max was rucking. Dogga taking ruck duties screwed their tactic of nullifying Max's influence at clearances.
  17. Fair to say he got a better reaction than the last time he was captured on camera chugging a beer.
  18. I still can't believe what happened last night. I honestly thought I would never see a flag. I love this team. To my long departed grandfather, who virtually forced me to become a Melbourne supporter when I was 4 years old, all is forgiven. Thanks Demonland. While I only recently joined, I have been lurking for years. The pain of not being able to share this victory with other Melbourne fans has been lessened by reading your posts. Go Dees!!!!
  19. Just watch Robbo's interview with him a couple of weeks ago. he is a Demon through and through.
  20. Agree. It should be a game every two weeks.
  21. How good was Brett Lovett?
  22. They would probably show replays of 88 and 2000...over and over again.
  23. Same. It is a bit of a blur now.
