Goodwin says Viney & TMac out for 6-8 Weeks
picket fence replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
I just heard that Goodwin has stated that both players had some CORTISONE INJECTIONS during the week. Cortisone??? Seriously?? Cortisone is nothing more than a Band-aid, it masks the pain and does NOTHING to actually rehab the problem. Current thinking includes PRP injections ( White Blood cells) harvested from your own blood and autologous blood injections guided by Ultrasound Cortisone does nothing but mask pain, other problem is once you have a couple into same joint it actually can weaken the joint further. Anyone else on this site in the know will bear this out. Cortisone?? Now I am worried! -

Frost IN Harmes Out Rationale we already have multiple scoring options forward but if Hawkins needs a mobile Body Defender then FROST gets the gig Stretch still does not impress me and turns it over when under pressure Other than that pretty god side! -

And this again is very old school thinking and management. Any player MUST report all niggles when they occur. -

Yep and again The questions need to be asked Viney and T Mac both "Unfortunate Coincidences" have a habit of being the rationale of choice when these incidents occur. Whatever the reason we cannot afford to lose two Key players early in the season IMV. -

Nup Nup IMV any foot injury that changes the gait and style of running will put pressure on other parts of the foot. I'm giving some opinion from my Phys Ed background but, happy to seek and take advice from others on this site who might know more. Also, we seem to cop the full brunt of "unfortunate coincidence" is that is what it is! -

I'm Now LIVID that the early return of last year has now jeopardised not only his season but also the club in general. Whoever endorsed this last year took too much of a risk with now serious consequences. Not that T Macs news is that much better. Time for Pedo or Weeds to step up! -
And as I have stated, I believe this all started by coming back too soon last year.
-
What I think has transpired is this ... This all harks back to the decision someone made to get back ASAP Last Year. Essentially the foot wasn't right and as result further strain was placed on foot resulting in more damage. I think he is in allsorts and the club will be trying the play the whole thing down. If this becomes another 3-4 week injury then I reckon his season will be in Jeopardy.

Dees Drink Own Bathwater According To Malthouse
picket fence replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah well he is 100% right and what's more the reported fallout from Caroline Wilsons article in the AGE says it all. If we don't make it this year, the players will be damned for all time pulling the pin on the training camp! -
Well, what's official story re Dangerfoots hammy??
-
Yep so he wanted to play after hardly any rehab for serious ankle injury and Now we are paying the price! typical MFC!
-
Then if Praccy games are meaningless we have actually done Jack S heeeeit in the pre season!! Stand by for a Demonland Meltdown if The [censored] beat us Round 1 And one other thing I rate JW ahead of a Billy Stretch anyday and it appears he will play round 1. I wouldn't play him but what do I know??So best 22 and if Watts was still A Dee he would? should play. Forget about outside run No 29 CAN achieve that in spades on a wing... And we should still have an excellent finisher!! Would Watts have missed the gimme Bugg fudged in the first quarter?? Well there you have it. Should still be DEE but isn't it a fascinating season to unfold for DEES and Port Adelaide!
-
Only if its a former NO 1 and only if it is JW!
-
Agree as if he still would not be in our best 22 this WILL definitely come back and bite us on the ARRRRRRRZZE

All gone by years end!

Blight thinks Dees will struggle to make the Eight.
picket fence replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Time will tell but I too don't believe we will make the 8. -
Surely Frost is an upgrade and a better long term bet than Wagner??
-
Laughable that a range is given. Why not go out on a limb and predict that ladder at the end of round 22 Weak to say the least.

YEP and so the ANT ( Auatralian No Touch) have appealed this decision on the basis that our game is now less Physical and more akin to this hybrid code where if you go past someone very fast, it is deemed a serious serious assault! WTF
