I would say that JV IS a one trick pony, nothing more nothing less!
-
We are one dimensional in the midfield, None of our mids has explosive pace and can play as outsiders with perhaps Clarry Choo Choo being an authentic in and now starting to be outside as well!
-
Agree with all you have said, and so ….. Care to pick a team to win vs Port sheuzenfried!?
-
Interesting I liked what I saw of Oskar Baker and always think Hunt and Jeffy can add more and would exploit Ports lack of Pace! Weeds must play rest of the year to season him for next years campaign!
-
Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again

Agree with all you have said Dazzle! -
Ill give you the answer PROBLEM NO 1 Viney is so one dimensional and it was on display today, His disposal is just, Pace average, he doesn't have any class but his one redeeming feature is his attack on the ball ! But in this day and Age he is a throwback mid with not many strings to the bow! PROBLEM NO 2 It pains me to say this but As much as I love Chunky Jones he is only a better mans Viney. What to do next is Simon Goodwins problem! PROBLEM 3 An aging Bernie Vince and to a far less degree Jordan Lewis! We can only keep one next year and even then might not neccesarily play Lewis in every game. Bernie has been great but I think its time! PROBLEM 4 NO OUTSIDE CLASSY RUN And this is perhaps the greatest need., We need to throw truckloads of money and anything else at Andrew Gaff PROBLEM 5 We need another gorilla up back ( Mason Cox killed us today) and power forwards like Darling et al will always find us easy pickings PROBLEM 6 Perenially we have too many LAZY Drink their own bathwater players Petracca needs a game in the resssies and show some hunger! From today it is clear to me Weideman, Jeffy and Hunt need to play the rest of the year to remedy some of these problems! Frost should be considered from time to time as should Tyson! Pedo Nup, Spargo Not yet, Bailey Fritsch did little today, a few others as well as they have been playing against inferior opposition are on notice! A few other things Lever's loss is not easily covered and Lynden Dunn and Jeremy Howe should never have been let go!
-
Like we did last round last year?? Superficial, we are flat track bullies with a lot of problem areas! STILL! which haven't been remedied and will cost us against better sides! Oh and Collingwood are a very good well drilled footy team! Watchout!
-
Stretch is NOT up to it I don't care how many good games he plays at Casey He panics when pressure is on and that at this level is all over red rover!
-
We need more DALEKS in the side EXTERMINATE!!

Harsh on Lewis! had a lot to handle today, as Dazzle has said Bernie more a worry. Last season I'm afraid! -
Thanks to all that have posted on this memorable occasion! Hnmm nearly 4 years gone !! Still think of him, he was a sensational footballer, but I have to say, a more sensational person in life you could never find! as many have alluded to on this site. As a mate of his I posted some days later 4 years ago my thoughts . Happy to share on Demonland! again, Rob loved days like today. He probably would have thought it a tad hot for footy, but would have played and dominated, anyway. His greatest pastime on days like to day would be cooking a BBQ for family and friends, playing golf, or on his boat catching a few "Flatties" and maybe the odd "Schnapper" in Port Phillip bay, or just shooting the breeze on his sundeck at Sorrento. Rob was at his happiest when you were happy, it seemed as if by some magical formula he had the "knack" of making you feel as if you were the most important person at that moment he was speaking to you. He loved his family and he loved and valued his friends! Charismatic people have this gift. Some use it for gain, and power, Rob used his charisma because he was genuinely interested in you and your family. Yes Rob was a "Superstar" footballer Bernie Quinlan so rightly said yesterday. But Above and Beyond he was a "Mega Superstar" person! Is this not a better, more substantially satisfying legacy to leave? In private life he was a generous with his time and expertise, as he appeared in public life. I have seen and been lucky enough to witness the way he gently and compassionately met people who at the conclusion of an interaction walked away much happier for the experience. Floating on air is as real as an experienceI have seen and been a part of, and just as euphoric! Just ask any who met him and knew him. I count myself extremely lucky and enriched by knowing him as a friend and mentor! The Euphoria stayed with you and lingered on and on. Over the 35 odd years I have known the man, I have been extremely fortunate to have been welcomed into part of the fabric of his life. He had many "Brothers" in arms and his own two brothers, Tom and Jim must have thought that they had won tattslotto every day of their lives having him as a brother. I can tell you he felt the same way about them! A more gentle, humble, empathic, generous, selfeffacing, humorous, genuine person you could not find than Rob Flower. I was at his funeral yesterday, and I will be at his public funeral tomorrow. Each time I look up at the sky on a clear night I will seek out the brightest star. If all stars represent great people, then Rob's star will surely be the brightest! With more people like Rob Flower in the world, it would be a more sensational place to be! Vale Rob Flower, a shining light in my life, never forgotten, always remembered "No Regrets" Thanks mate

If Stretch gets a game before Jeffy or Hunt then we are compromising our structure. Jeffy could Light up the G and kick 4 or 5 Tell me what Stretch brings to the team??? -

WEEDS SMITH GARLETT all in (Speculation) FOR T SMITH, LEVER, HANNAN ( ALL INJ) Anyone else a fan?? -
I NEVER ever wanted Toumpas, his highlights real left me very very unimpressed I still maintain we should have picked up Wines and if Neeld went with Toumpas over Wines Then what does that tell you!?? As I maintained all along Neeld had NO idea!
-
YOU CAN NEVER EVER EVER have enough inside mids PERIOD Sheeit Im stil having nightmares about drafting Jimmy Toumpas over Wines What a monumental [censored] up!!! Don't get me started on this one!
-
I most certainly got well and truly "Tanked" after last round debacle in 2017!
-
Yep, happy to trade! Seen enough!
-
Groan, Stretch is not up to it! HUNT, GARLETT AND BALLIC before him!

TMac to the backline??????????? NO WAY KNOWN! We have a powerful two pronged mobile talls in Hogan and T Mac and you wanna send T Mac back Chook, as much as I respect your opinions, I would have more chance landing Jane Seymour on my lap than T MAC Being returned to the backline!

Jake Lever injury - Confirmed ACL
picket fence replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Interesting aspect Chook, I believe that the LARS Procedures overseas have gained significant momentum than those done in the past and now are considered more viable than ever Would the club the club and Lever consider it? It would mean is all goes well he's back this season!
