  1. North have been absolute garbage this JLT. So far from competitive and and have a very uninspiring list. I expect them to lose to GC in round 1. Heaven help us if we lose to them in round 3.
  2. Was that the incident when Mark Thompson blamed the incident on Jeff White saying his face could’ve broken King’s leg?
  3. Why hasn't JFK gotten at least one run in either the JLT or AFL X series? Starting to become the quintessential list clogger.
  4. Yeah is Harmes in the dog house or something? He’s gone from near BOG in JLT 1 to training with the maggoos.
  5. I'm starting to think Frost is a bit overrated around here. Not saying Wagner will be the next Steven Silvagni or Matthew Scarlett, but apart from the odd exciting dash since he's come over, is Frost really a better option than Wagner? The match committee have really fallen out of love with him and I can't see how Frost will be anywhere near the round 1 side.
  6. Matthew Lloyd has also provided some insightful commentary on us, via 3AW with Gerard Healy and Dwayne Russell. "Melbourne won't play finals, Gerard. You just can't trust them" - Matthew Lloyd, Monday Feb 19 (before JLT 1) "I tell you who's a real smokey for top 4, Gerard. It's Melbourne" - Matthew Lloyd, Monday Feb 26 (after JLT 1)
  7. You know ANB's made it when everyone considers him a key out. Good on him. Hopefully Viney plays in a VFL praccy next weekend. Anyone know if this round of JLT's are full length quarters? They were in the corresponding round last year.
  8. Yeah I know his real name. Was just doing a Danny Frawley. On a serious note, anyone know if he's all good injury wise??
  9. Anyone know if Bullen was in full training or in rehab? Saty said he may have tweaked something on Wednesday.
  10. The Bulldogs flag win was an absolute fluke. How they went from finishing 7th and ending the season with a loss to a 3-18 side to winning a flag defies a logic. The Richmond flag win was anything but a fluke. They dominated all 3 of their finals, and I cannot remember a premiership side who has won all their finals by 3 qtr time. Not to mention they also won 9 of their last 10 games including finals.
  11. I disagree. High contact is high contact. Correct call IMO. If Salem was on the other end we would've been screaming blue murder that he didn't get a free.
  12. I was actually worried Salem (yet again) might have had a case to answer for in the 3rd qtr. Gave a free kick away with an elbow to the head after a centre bounce but he was in possession of the ball. An AFLW player copped a week for something similar recently.
  13. Kudos to all the Melbourne supporters attending another Hobart game against North, even after the last 2 heart breakers against them.
  14. Hope everything's ok with Jetta. Our defence could fall to pieces without him.
  15. Yes North, we know he's a great player but you can'r have him!
  16. Wagner ahead of Frost in the pecking order for the round 1 side?
  17. I know Garlett might not be everyone's cup of tea, but you'd think an All Australian squad of 40 player would be a notable absentee...
  18. No way Tyson is risked for JLT 2 with a calf issue, despite Goodwin confident he would.
  19. 1) while living in Seattle, I set the alarm for 3am to watch a meaningless 2010 NAB Cup game v’s Freo. Alas we lost. 2) attending back to back road trips last year against North in Hobart and then GWS in Canberra. I almost left Manuka at qtr time and back on the road to Melbourne after we conceded 8 goals by qtr time. 3) attending evey game in VIC in the train wreck that was known as 2013.
  20. Anyone know what’s wrong with Garlett? He seems to have been in and out of rehab all summer.
  21. So if we beat North tonight can we all celebrate that the 11 year losing streak is over?
  22. I cannot fathom how Port re-signed him for yet another season, after only playing 2 games last year. He'd have to be one of the slowest players in the league, panics under the slightest bit of pressure and is only proficient at 25 metre passes. He does not have one point of difference that makes him a decent AFL player. How we, or any other club though he was a worthy top 5 selection is staggering.
  23. And didn't he just reek of leadership...
  24. Agreed. Bugg's best football of the year coincided with the team's best football of the year between rounds 8 and 14, where he managed 16 scoring shots (7.9) over 6 games, as well as being an effective pest. I doubt he'd be in too many people's best 22 around here, but he was in Goodwin's best 22 when we were up and about last year.
  25. Didn't they try and merge again at the end of 97 when they both finished last and second last?
