  1. We should've kept Frost. End of story. The reason we let him go is because he was going to play at Casey at the expense of May and Lever being in the side- was the accepted consensus. That's a poor reason as he's not far off May and every bit as good as Lever as an AFL footballer. I'm surprised his shut down job on Ben Brown in round 23 last year didn't trigger the minds of the MFC brains trust that he should have been a priority signing. He's been outstanding for Hawthorn in their 3 games. Probably because that mob has a far better coach and a far better list management.
  2. I heard he’ll be spending time on Hawkins and Rataguela.
  3. We play better at Etihad than the G.
  4. St Kilda - all 6 games in Melbourne to start the season. They better cop it in the neck in the second half of the season.
  5. Why are people suggesting we’re hubbing up North? Richmond are flying in and flying out next Thursday so why wouldn’t we as well?
  6. True, could be handy in the run home. Unless we have to play home games interstate.
  7. Round 6 Freo at Metricon, Saturday arvo I think. 3/5 interstate so far.
  8. Excellent. That makes me feel heaps better.
  9. Absolutely depressing that Perth will host 60,000 to a footy game in mid July, while 1 million Victorians face a potential lock down at the same time.
  10. You should get a gig with the MFC list management department with that kind of foresight. Finlayson was a revelation last year and would’ve been one of the biggest bargain trades of all time.
  11. You might be right. Played a good game against the Dogs last year with 3 goals and then showed bits and pieces in the following 4 games before getting injured. I don’t think you could conclude that he was going to be a gun off the back of 4 games.
  12. That's actually a good out for us, if the good Stanley was planning on turning up.
  13. First player ever to be dropped despite not playing a game??
  14. Assuming there are no more impacted games, why can't they do a split round later in the year to cater for the postponed game. Melbourne and Essendon won't have to play on a 4 day break and all clubs can get a mid season break in replacement of that stupid bye before the finals which is one of the worst initiatives the AFL has brought to the game recently.
  15. Except when he plays against us. Last year he missed 10 weeks through injury except for a game against us during that period. And what do you know, he was BOG with 3 goals.
  16. Hogan’s been worse than putrid in this one. Just 3 handballs into the 3rd qtr.
  17. Ironic that the player that wants to play AFL the least out of all players and can’t wait to get out of the country once his contract expires is the first player to test positive. Easendon supporters ought to be seething with McKenna as they’ll likely lose their next 2 games without Hooker, Hurley and their other defenders.
  18. May’s kicking was garbage last week as well.
  19. Let’s not get too carried away with GC. They always start the season hot and then fall in a heap by round 8 as injuries and fatigue mount. They’ll probably get out of the bottom 4 for the first time in 6-7 years though.
  20. Good to see Fritsch’s radar back on track with 2 or 3 set shots nailed (unless he also kicked 5 behinds with it...)
  21. If the Essendon players are tested on Tuesday and cleared, then why can’t we play them on Tuesday night rather than having to worry about a make-up game later in the season?
  22. Absolutely he did. He feels desperately sorry for Essendon and had the arrogance to say that they were basically a certainly to beat us today. One of the panellist felt for us being caught up in the situation. Can’t remember who?
  23. ā€œI feel for Essendon, they can’t take a trick. They were on track for a 3-0 start as they were going to be Melbourne today.ā€ Kind words from M Lloyd on the Sunday footy show today.
  24. Because he’s a rich, privileged, pampered sooky footballer.
  25. Can someone tell me why Dwayne Russell implied a couple of times tonight that the Melbourne v Geelong (in addition to the Essendon V Carlton game) game next week is in doubt? What’s McKenna’s positive test got to with us, in terms of next week, considering all other games are going ahead for the time being.
