Mate, I’ve got no idea what you’re on about but if you live in Victoria you won’t be attending finals this year. Our case numbers were a disgrace today. Hopefully in 2022 we can all attend finals, utilise our GF guarantee tickets and win the flag.

ANB is having the absolute epitome of a "career year" The amount of times this year he's stepped up to kick an important goal when we needed one. The MCG boundary snap shots against Richmond and GWS come to mind. Sure he's not perfect, he's a had a couple of poor games and won't be anywhere near the All Australian side. However, he's had a very good season overall and doesn't let 1 or 2 early errors define his performance. I was hoping he'd stick around after 2 promising late season games against GWS and Essendon last year, and he's more than upheld his end of the bargain. Hats off to ANB for a very good H&A season.

First has played on the following nights over the last few years since Thursday night finals were implemented: 2020 - Port - Thu night 2019 - Geelong - Fri night 2018 - Rich - Thu night 2017 - Adel - Thu night 2016 - Syd - Sat arvo Knowing the AFL, we'll probably cop a 4 day break and be the pioneers of Wednesday night finals.

I think last year kind of set the precedent in changing grand final dates.

The way COVID/delta is destroying most of the east coast and now probably NZ, are we even going to have a grand final? How can the AFL book in a grand final elsewhere and do it with any confidence?

Who’s to say it will even be this year? We might give it everything we’ve got but Bontempelli or Hawkins or even bloody Charlie Dixon gets a hold of us in a prelim. There’s still some brilliant teams in contention, we don’t have the finals experience of others and we might not quite be the final product yet. A premier has to get it perfect for 3 games in the September pressure cooker. Time will tell if that’s us.

Good on us for digging in. Don't pander to the Gerard Whateley's of the world who think's it's selfish to host a final in front of no crowds. Seattle Seahawks hosted LA Rams and Washington hosted Tampa Bay Bucs in January 2021 in front of nobody, despite other teams hosting with crowds. If it's good enough for the biggest league in the world to ensure home team integrity over crowds, it's good enough for the AFL to do so.
