  1. McGowan would just laugh this off. He probably wouldn't even let Morrison in his state. And would Neale be even up for a long flight given his current plight and personal care needed.
  2. 7:15pm start VIC time I think.
  3. I agree it's mad and would've been nice to watch the game with mates. But we can't so I won't.
  4. If we're going to do that, we may as well have the GF at the MCG. The rules are there for a reason (even though more than a few don't follow them)
  5. Apparently Luke Darcy is a Bulldogs supporter but you wouldn't be able to tell given his perfectly balanced commentary during Bulldogs games.
  6. Absolutely guttered that many of us (25,000-30,000 MFC/AFL/MCC members) could be missing out on a once in a lifetime opportunity in seeing our club win a flag live. This is not even including MFC royalty starting with RDB, Daniher, Neitz, Jones etc…(aside from Lyon who is there) I saw Sydney, Geelong, Doggies and Richmond all break their droughts at the MCG and the supporters of those clubs had the day of their lives at the MCG and then celebrations after. Meanwhile we’ll have to put up with BT’s 16 commentary mistakes per quarter.
  7. I’m sure we would’ve beaten Geelong regardless of their virus. We were at our absolute best last night.
  8. I 100% agree with this. There’s no sugar coating this - the Victorian MFC people ranging from Demon Royalty (Barassi, Daniher, Neitz) to the rank and file member with a GF guarantee membership have been robbed the opportunity of a life time thanks to COVID and a couple of NSW removalists.
  9. They got us good that game and were the better team on the night. The umpiring and our inaccuracy sucked that night but the Dogs were good. Lead from start to finish and deserved the win.
  10. The MFCSS in me sees Schache and Hannan making a mess of us next week.
  11. Keith will be available for the GF.
  12. Dogs and Dees GF is a fair result given we were both in the top 2 together for 16 of 23 weeks. I made a poor call taking up Port during the week.
  13. Brilliant goal by Wines.
  14. Take your point about the weeks rest. An absolute advantage to the Dogs should they make it. Similar to how they blessed with the bye week between round 23 2016 and week 1 finals.
  15. If Bont is over his knee problem, Keith is back in the side and Stef Martin is match fit than I agree they could be an issue in the GF. However, too many ifs with the Dogs at the moment and Port are humming along nicely with a healthy squad that hasn’t needed to quarantine recently.
  16. Would you rather play an absolute full strength and well rested Port Adelaide who have a clearly stronger side than the last time we played them (Gray, Durrsma, a fit Butters) and are clearly on a mission this year after choking at home last year? Or a Bulldogs side that has traveled all over the place, has their leading goal kicker on the sidelines, arguably the best player in the league under an injury cloud and possibly their premier defender still on the sidelines. Pretty easy answer I wouldn’t thought. Port will run away with this in the second half as the season will have caught up with the tired Dogs who have done an obscene amount of travelling lately.
  17. Absolutely no change. Im sorry for Hunt but he got injured at the wrong time and Bowey passed a big test tonight. I would make Jones sub. If it’s out of JJ or Jones I’d make a sentimental call and give it to Jones given it’s highly likely neither will actually get on the field.
  18. If he doesn’t motivate you, nothing will. He’s looking damn good.
  19. Don't flick on fox footy at the moment. A certain heart breaker in 2018 is on between these 2 mobs.
  20. Fremantle and West Coast supporters pretending (or even actually) to be barracking for Melbourne should not be getting a bar code. End thread.
  21. This just in from the Geelong Bigfooty board. Who kicks Melbourne’s goals? Very, very poor forward line for a TOTL team. Yes their defence is stellar but our offence is a cut above AND they have not experienced the 4 Headed Monster.
  22. I won't be throwing the toys out of the cot if we don't win the flag this year. We've shown how far we've come this year and it will be no doubt inaccuracy rather than ability/system/talent that sees us fall short which is a good sign for future years given our list profile and talent at our disposal. But if we then proceed to fade back into oblivion next year and beyond, well that's another story.
  23. Any chance Uncle Dan will let us venture further than our front yard this time next year so we can attend next year's prelim?
  24. Yeah remember walking from the old red seats to the exits of the Olympic stand and there were scarves in the bin. As a youngster I couldn’t understand why you’d dump a footy scarf in the bin but there you go. Esseondon have dealt us some heartbreakers over the years.
  25. Too many arvo beers?
