  1. Whenever one needs the CEO it’s invariably not going to be positive.
  2. Speaking of grounds, we played our most scintillating footy away from the MCG I thought. Most of our really good wins took place away from the G and our last 4 games at the G (ESS, GWS, Hawks, Dogs) were some of our poorer performances of the year. Marvel, Optus and Adelaide Oval (aside from the Adel game) is where we played our best footy Hopefully we can replicate our awesome form next year at our home.
  3. Odd time to make a complaint to the CEO??
  4. Almost. 95% there. A flag at the G would make it 100%. People who attended in Perth would beg to differ. Really hoping we’ve got another flag in us over the next 3-4 years before May and Gawn pack up. Hope we don’t do a West Coast and go backwards by the year or the Dogs who failed to even makes the finals for the next 2 years.
  5. 100% agreed. I posted after our win over Sydney that it was indisputable that the 2021 backline was the best to represent our club in the modern era. Certainly since the early 90’s. They just gelled so well this year.
  6. Would be Richmond in 2017 wouldn’t it? I’d also like to know who was the most recent losing GF team to kick 6 goals in a quarter and yet still lose like the Dogs did last night.
  7. First goal - Hunter Norm - Harmes (30 touches/2 goals) Most gls - BBB Margin - 39 pt win to us.
  8. Same same yeah? I would say our selections have been predictable and successful.
  9. Best wishes to you mate. Let’s hope the boys get you the flag you’re so hoping for.
  10. Happy to bag the win and move on to our next opponent.
  11. I’d be flabbergasted if Jordon isn’t sub tomorrow. Our selections have been predictable and conservative all year, and having no injuries have helped. From a sentimental point of view I’d be taking Hunt over JJ but the club has rightly thrown romanticism out the window, as per Jones returning home.
  12. My apologies indeed. You’re spot on.
  13. Fair enough mate. Each to their own. I personally prefer they focus on the game rather than remind us Victorians of our current plight. Tomorrow night is supposed to be an escape from the doldrums.
  14. I’d like to thing the MCC and the state government would fight tooth and nail to retain the GF given it has a 40 odd year contract and has lost it two years in a row.
  15. Really hoping the crowd isn’t going ahead with this petition by Basil to stand up and applaud all people in the first quarter that can’t be at the game. Just focus on the game. https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.abc.net.au/article/100488598
  16. If Hamish and Basil are the chief commentators this year then I'm boycotting the grand final and will find out the score the next morning.
  17. You're stuck with CH 7 adds. Last year Fox Footy showed footage of an empty studio for 3 hours.
  18. Happy with this. T Mac's not getting any younger and we're not going to ever have the dream injury run we had this year. However, the onus is on Sam to lift a cog or 2. His AFL performances this year ranged from average to diabolical and we're all entitled to expect more from a top 10 key forward that showed a lot of promise in his first 3 seasons.
  19. They’ll be fine. Nothing to see here. Sure if this happened in Melbourne there’d be 64 cases by GF day but Lady Luck has smiled on every major Australian city not known as Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra since the pandemic began.
  20. Surprised he’s never been to a GF before given that he was a captain of an AFL club.
  21. Was Mollison the umpire that stuffed up the deliberate call in our loss against Adelaide? He certainly umpired in that game.
  22. Apparently the club is staying in Perth for weeks.
  23. From memory JFK was woeful that night. Can’t recall how Georgiou went.
