Now the Swans assistant coaches have been granted exemption to fly down. https://www.afl.com.au/news/608563/update-swans-coaches-get-green-light-to-fly-superstar-returns

He had a 20 possession/1 goal game against Freo. I didn't think it that bad and he would've played the following week had he not gotten injured. Willing to give him another chance this weekend for a bit of experience that we're lacking in the midfield, as others have touched on.

Caroline Wilson - Where has she gone?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Sir Why You Little's topic in Melbourne Demons
I used to her enjoy her work on 3AW each Tuesday evening with Gerard Healy. Particularly her rolling top 10 "AFL people under pressure list" (Bartlett and Pert were regulars on this list in 2019) Now they've got Leigh Matthews as the Tuesday night regular and he brings next to nothing to the table. -
We're due one of those.
-
And if we lose the media will bang on about how it's Sydney's best win in their club's history as it was done against such adversity. Really need to take care of business here.

The Age reports that Longmire and Co only need to test negative and they'll be all good. If they had to self isolate for 14 days despite testing negative then our game wouldn't be going ahead I wouldn't think.
-
So I guess Longmire and his staff will be working from home on Saturday night??

Return to Your Reserved Seat from Rd 9
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is good. Still waiting on the following to resume back to normal: Top level of Southern Stand to re-open for all games. Walk ups available for AFL membership, MCC and public. Kids let in for free on Sundays. Kids able to sit with parents on Sunday games in AFL members reserve at the MCG - free of charge Hot pies/chips and cold beers rather than the other way around (although I concede this one is probably too hard to achieve) -
Christian Petracca is A Demon For Life

I had no idea Burgoyne was "interested" in us back in 2009 ish. He probably made the right call in fairness to head to Glenferrie. -
Christian Petracca is A Demon For Life

Certainly been a contrasting 12-24 hour period for the number 1 and 2 picks of the 2014 draft. -
Are you expecting me to be disappointed that Fritta's playing this week on the basis that I was flat out wrong in that I expected the appeal to fail??

Team Announcements Back on Thursdays
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonstone's topic in Melbourne Demons
Any chance they can also bring back Thursday night footy while they're at it? -
Oh well at least at least the MCC members are catered for in terms of under cover while the rest of us plebs will have to sit in the wet and have the flu for the next 2 weeks while the entire top level is closed.
-
Any idea why they've once again closed the top level of the southern stand (AFL members) despite rain forecasted on Saturday night? Will this be a post COVID 19 feature whereby they close the top level for low-moderate crowds at the expense of most fans who will all get wet on rainy days?
-
The problem with point one is there is no such conduct/grading as accidental. It's either intentional or careless and Christian gave him the lesser grading of careless.
-
All I want is for him to be out there on Saturday night, so I'm glad we're appealing. Just not expecting to be successful.
-
The fact that he was taken off the field for observation and looked genuinely hurt when the incident occurred would surely constitute medium impact. I think if he was concussed and left the game then it would've been high impact and a 2 week suspension. Edit - just saw we're appealing it...They agree with you.
-
I seriously doubt we're challenging an elbow to the head. $10K is a lot of money coming out of the soft cap and we blew 50K on Bennell's mishap in the hub last year.
-
They have to weigh up whether it’s worth losing $10K if there’s not much of a defence. They’ve already recently footed a $50K tab so Harley Bennell could enjoy his afternoon out of the hub last year.
-
Thought he played the second best game of his career yesterday. That steadying goal he kicked in the last qtr was impressive.
-
Anyone around here remember Alby Ingleman and George Green's debut games?
-
Next year?

Agree with every word. Happy to have Rivers but Young will be a fine player.
