  1. Agree with Jordon. In his debut against Fremantle in 2021, he played some minutes inside from memory, played well and kicked a goal. Surprised he only got 15 touches in that game but he's a dependable player that can be assigned a job anywhere. Will be stunned if he's sub or VFL this week given we have Oliver and Hunter's role to replace.
  2. Good point. Depends on their appetite for risk but it is handy that we played the first game of round 10 and the play the last game of round 13.
  3. Get on the 105% return that Richmond are paying on Sunday if Hardwick gets a farewell game.
  4. I assume we're trying to argue the contact classification down from medium to low as opposed to arguing that the incident should not have been a reportable offence in the first place. The victim couldn't have been too impacted by the incident given he had 31 possession, kicked the winning goal and would've clearly gotten 3 Brownlow votes had Z Butters not played the game of his life.
  5. Dare I take this as a good sign that it's a minor 1-2 week injury and he'll back for Kings B'day??
  6. I'm also hearing there might be a retrospective MRP finding involving Jeff White from the 2005 finals series. The charge may involve Jeff White missing weeks for his jaw making contact with Steven King's foot which left the innocent King with a slightly sore foot as he kicked White in the jaw. More details to be released as the day unfolds.
  7. The only silver lining here is the bye. If it's a 4 week hammy, he'll only miss 3 matches plus the bye in round 14. If it's a 3 week hammy, he'll miss 3 matches but have an extra 'bonus' week to let it heal and be cherry ripe for Geelong. But yeah, losing your best midfielder is far from ideal. Look at Dangerfield and Geelong. Geelong were flying (albeit against mostly poorer opposition) until his hammy and then they lose winnable games without him.
  8. Canโ€™t believe Iโ€™m ready to switch over for the GWS V St Kilda game.
  9. Iโ€™m with you. They have the potential to absolutely scar a fellow grand finalist for years to come, per GWS, Sydney, Port (2007)
  10. Just hand Collingwood the flag now. Going to be another grand final massacre for the third year in a row. The only club that could remotely challenge them on GF day is Brisbane or possibly Geelong if they come home like a freight train.
  11. Jon Ralph mentioned this at half time of the Hawks v WC game. A potential low grade strain. Weโ€™ll find out tomorrow the news.
  12. Definitely won of our better wins of last year against a reasonable high quality side. Hard to fathom we went out in straight sets given we beat Freo and Brisbane on the road convincingly in the last month of the season.
  13. Whatโ€™s Christianโ€™s rationale for grading it medium considering Rozee got up a second later and ended up kicking the winning goal for Port?? If we have a solid foundation in arguing this down from medium to low impact, and hence allowing Hunter to play next week, then we should take it to the tribunal.
  14. I reckon the big non MFC story this weekend is Geelong. In order to make top 4 theyโ€™ll probably need to go 11-2 with major tasks against Dogs at Marvel, Port at AO, Brisbane at the GABBA, Collingwood at the G and (to a lesser extent) us at GHMBA. I think theyโ€™ve lost too many games to be considered a flag chance.
  15. Absolutely underselling Fremantleโ€™s win today.
  16. Well I hope the players take Fremantle a bit more seriously than you are.
  17. Hand the great man a mid season draft lodgement form.
  18. Will be our best win of the season to date if we salute, given how in form Freo are.
  19. Does beating Freo count as a scalp?
  20. Does beating Freo count as a scalp?
  21. Does beating an in form Fremantle/Walayaup next week count as a scalp? Our schedule is certainly heating up now.
  22. In fairness to Hunter his mate on the other wing is stinking up the joint as well.
  23. Heโ€™ll get cited no doubt under the current climate. The only key question is if itโ€™s medium (1 week) or low (fine). The fact that Rozee played on and indeed kicked the winning goal would provide an argument for low contact.
  24. For those that are watching the Dogs v Adelaide game, have Dogs been that good or Adelaide that poor. Dogs are quietly making a top 4 bid.
