  1. Hmmmm how can I put this nicely, how about… NOT IF THE MANOR TV WAS THE ONLY TV ON EARTH! I can’t flick between footy and cricket because once I’m on Kayo I have to stay on it. Kayo and I have a love/hate relationship: they love taking my money and I hate them with a passion. PS: your “etchings” ???! What on earth are your… never mind. I probs don’t wanna know.
  2. Let us know when Travis is close to the double ton???
  3. We still hand out flags! Before the match starts little kids and big kids and even the biggest kids (adults) can come down and ask anyone in the first three rows of M3 and they’ll be given a flag or a banner or even a giant head. Gotta get in early for a giant head though, they’re quite popular. And don’t even THINK of getting giant Riv or giant Ed because unless you’re prepared to prise them outta the cold dead hands of two of our DA gals, you ain’t getting either. Believe me, I’ve tried. 😁
  4. Absolutely! We have flags of every size, right down to little ones that are perfect for a 3yo to wave. Your boys won’t ever wanna sit anywhere else. 🤗 Incidentally, I did something I’ve always wanted to do on Friday night. When everyone had left the ground post match and it was only DA packing up, I had a go at waving our biggest baddest flag, much to the amusement of our guys who btw make it look easier than it is. I didn’t take anyone’s eye out so I’m chalking that up as a win. 😁
  5. Clearly CFCSS isn’t a thing. Although the record number of grand finals they’ve lost says it should be. 😏
  6. Minnow clubs? MINNOW CLUBS??!! These arrogant cretins need to be dragged down a peg. Wouldn’t it be awesome to burst their filthy bubble?!
  7. Do your grandkids come down to the front of the bay to borrow flags or banners or giant heads? Because they’re welcome to, so long as everything is returned by the end of the match. LOL after the Freo match one of our members saw a little boy happily walking towards Jolimont station carrying a giant Fritta head. He obviously thought it was his forever and not just for the game. Bless.
  8. ALWAYS welcome to sit with us. Yes you risk losing an eyeball or being concussed by a snap-shot at goal, but you do so with so much fun and excitement. 🥰 Our official bay at home games is M3 but as of the beginning of this season we now unofficially have M4 as well. This is great for those who want to see the action up close and personal but without being ensconced in the bedlam and chaos that is the front of M3. As well, drinking is permitted in M4.
  9. Why don’t you go ahead and tell us… tell us what you clearly know about Libby’s personality. Coz I DO know Libby’s personality - as in, LEGIT know - and I share the same view as pretty much everyone at the MFC, which is the polar opposite of what you’re implying.
  10. Too late to edit, but Langers’ first game for us against Freo was a loss (Round 16, 2020). But let’s pretend that never happened.😁 ❤️💙
  11. HE DOES SMILE!!! This was taken last night by friends who were at a trivia night with many of our players in attendance. My DA BFF was on a table with Tracc and JJ (they came 2nd, beaten by one point). She said that Tracc is as competitive playing a trivia quiz as he is on the field. It’s like dude, this is supposed to be a fun game, lighten up a little. 😂 He also made poor JJ do all the writing down of answers. Hashtag he de boss. 😏
  12. DD, if allusions to enhancers and salves and shrinkage haven’t killed this thread, nothing will. 😁
  13. Brodie up against his old side this week… Lachie Hunter, BBB, Tomlinson, Maysie, Ricky Lever and Langers all won their first game against their former side. Just sayin’ edit: Langers comes with a question mark. Going by memory alone. edit: I forgot Hibbo and Melksy!
  14. You don’t need to type the rest. I filled in the blanks. Cheers for that! 🤮
  15. Heads should roll for that mistake!!!
  16. It’s never been a Thursday! It’s always Tuesday. Anyways, Tuesday and Thursday both start with T. 😁
  17. Just like you’ve said to me on occasion, Layz. 😃 PS have a guess where I’m off to now?
  18. That’s deplorable, DP. Unfortunately incidents such as this still happen. Yes, security are quick to step in and won’t hesitate to call in Police and have these cretins ejected, but the damage has already been done. In the case of your co-worker the damage is that they can’t attend another vs Collingwood match, understandably, and that sucks. Interestingly, I was chatting to a security guy before Friday’s match. He’s been working at the ‘G for 15 years and of course I had to ask him his opinion on the behaviour of clubs’ fans. Unsurprisingly he cited Collingwood, Essendon and Richmond fans as the most obnoxious. Surprisingly though, he said when it comes to cheer squads, Collingwood and Essendon are up there with the most well-behaved (!) with Richmond and Carlton possibly the worst. (Nice going, Richmond: obnoxious in all areas.) He said the least troublesome were us and St Kilda, but that might’ve been because he was talking to me and was just being polite. 😁 I once asked a hot doughnuts vendor the same question and he said hands down Collingwood and Essendon fans were the rudest. So there’s the world balance restored.
  19. We’d love to be able to do this (a “showing”) every week but for various reasons we can’t. Sometimes it’s because we haven’t enough time. We follow a strict timeline out in the middle; every single minute is accounted for. This is usually the reason at away games. The elements also dictate whether we can do a showing. If it’s raining or windy it’s a no-go. (Say what you want about Marvel, but it’s banner crew’s best friend 😁). We did one on Friday night. This is only the second time we’ve been able to do it this season. Two in 12 rounds is about what’s to be expected given the above reasons.
  20. It varies. Sometimes the Club decides. Sometimes our DA leaders decide (they welcome suggestions, too). Sometimes it’s a combination. The partners have a say in what goes with their logo. Everything must be approved by the Club. Oh and just between you and me, Layz: all banners from all clubs must meet the AFL standard (no singling out an oppo player, no swearing, for example) but our banners don’t ever need checking coz Melbourne. ❤️💙 Don’t tell anyone 🤫😝🙃
  21. Oh boy. It’s gonna be a loooooonnng week.
  22. You can’t make strawberry jam out of pig sh!tt. We simply don’t have the numbers of a Collingwood or a Carlton. We likely never will.
