  1. What’s logical to one person might be illogical to another. Perception being reality, who’s to say which of these two people are right?
  2. Logic is subjective, therefore it can be flawed.
  3. All good Gawndy. It’s just that I cringe every time I see a new thread that’s (intentionally or otherwise) an invitation for all the doom and gloom mongers to let loose. I’m sure this wasn’t the purpose for this thread but here we are: it’s already happening.
  4. Whatever happened to taking it one week at a time? Besides, there’s hardly a need for another doomsday predictions thread. There’s a bunch of them already.
  5. Therefore a “the run home” thread after any round would make sense? March 17th this year: “How d’you think we’ll go against Hawthorn in Round 23?” “Geez, not sure since it’s FIVE FREAKING MONTHS AWAY!”
  6. Beside the point but “the run home”… isn’t that what you’d call the last four or five H&A games? Even the last six or seven. But after only 10 rounds? There’s still 14 rounds to go! That’s a lot of speculation about matches scheduled to take place months in the future.
  7. I’m probs going straight to hell for saying this but since Cerra playing or not playing this week won’t affect whether we win or lose, a part of me hopes he gets off purely to see the mega melts on here.
  8. I’d tell you, BDA. But then I’d have to kill you, and you seem like a nice person. You’re a fellow Irishman, so killing you is defs not an option.
  9. Good? He kicked the penultimate goal then fed the ball out to Kozzie who kicked the winner. Yeah, he was good.
  10. … then why come on here complaining about not being able to just rock up on the day? You seem to be complaining for complaining’s sake. Again.
  11. I already did. He said, “Please tell Roost it Far to GAGF.” 🤷‍♀️
  12. Of course I did! Would be remiss of me not to. They said (in unison) “Please tell Roost It Far we sincerely apologise unreservedly, and we promise to play out of our collective skins to win every single match from here on in purely to ensure his enjoyment of his team, for it is his enjoyment of his team that should be and will be at the forefront of our collective minds.” Happy with that?
  13. I TOLD HIM TO NOT SHAVE HIS HEAD!!!! He promised me he wouldn’t! He promised he’d wear a headband. Geez, you think you know someone (we only chatted for about 20 mins but that’s knowing someone, right?!). 😭😭😭
  14. Whereas it’s usually the DA putting on the BBQ, the Club actually organised this morning’s event, Kev. They provided the food and we provided the BBQs and utensils etc. and we manned the BBQ. It wasn’t a fundraiser like our usual BBQs are. And yes, there was definitely an air of joviality and fun. The players and coaches were genuinely enjoying themselves, as were the many MFC staff members, all deservedly so. Just a great vibe in general. Such a tonic after reading some of the ridiculous end of the world comments on here… and I didn’t even go anywhere near the postgame thread!!!
  15. This session really wasn’t anything to go by. It went for less than 30 minutes and was more for show. The focus this morning was the acknowledgment and celebration of Reconciliation Week. Melksy was one of the last players to head back inside. He stopped for a sausage In bread which he quickly ate while standing at our tent. He said, “I’ve gotta go! We’ve got training now.” I said, “But you’ve just had training.” He said, “Real training.” Idk if he meant indoor training or that they were coming back out once everyone had left. However, we were there for another 20 mins or so finishing packing up and there was no sign of them coming back out.
  16. How good was that this morning, Kev! The BBQ was indeed for MFC staff and visitors but really anyone was welcome to a snag. How funny was it to see our players replicate the indigenous boys’ dance moves. As dancers they make great footballers! 😂 But the best part was watching the young indigenous boys inhale a snag or 10 after their performance. Teenage boys = no leftovers 🥳 I asked Staffy if the players were allowed a sausage in bread. He said probably not but in his opinion one sausage won’t hurt. Tracc and Melksy were the only players to indulge. If illness befalls either of them you know who to blame. It was all Staffy’s fault. 😁
  17. https://www.demonarmy.com.au/shop.html Thanks in advance, BDA! At the moment the Big Freeze beanies are available, for the same price as in the shops. We don’t make any money from selling them, we sell them to support Neale and FightMND.
  18. It’s not a huge amount of money. Donations are always welcome, of course. The sales of DA merch and raffle tickets are what brings the $$$ in.
  19. If I may, Kat. I just wanna add a really important point… while fans are always welcome in our bay (Dees fans only, of course) we encourage as many people as possible to take out DA memberships since fundraising is our main source of income. As for seating, the first 8-10 rows are DA reserved seats, with the first four rows being ticketed of sorts, with an actual seating plan, albeit loose due to absent members on any given day. Further up the back of the bay Dees fans either with or without DA membership are certainly welcome. Anyways I’m on my to Gosch’s now to assist with the Reconciliation Week BBQ. No fundraising with this one, just the awesome feeling that comes with doing stuff for our Club. 😊
  20. We clearly don’t agree on how your suggestion would be received by our players, but rather than you bringing up [censored] that happened to you 13 years ago, or suggesting even more unsuitable banner content, you heard my request and have replied in a mature, non-abrasive way and for that I’m grateful. There’s myriad ways to let the players know how some fans feel after a loss. The banner isn’t one of them. The Club simply wouldn’t allow it, and nor should they.
  21. We don’t ever issue a rebuke to our players on the banner, regardless of to whom the quote’s attributed. It would be great if you could make your point in another thread. There’s plenty to choose from. Please let this thread remain free of this sort of “advice” to the team. Thanks.
