David Kind now jumping on the saints as how ‘amazing were they last night’ Were the saints amazing??? I thought Collingwood were awful more than Saints were good. Lots of saints goals came from Collingwood players making BAD errors that other top teams aren’t going to make.

Huh, yeah I didn’t even think of that. Only thing I can think of is if Gawn taps it through for a point (even by accident, but being right by the goal line, it means he can only tap it one way without being penalised) it’s a free kick to the dogs? So going to the top of the square gives more room range for him to tap too? Dunno, just speculating. Didn’t look right regardless.

Someone mentioned on Demonland that the increase in score reviews is being said to be related to advertising time. Well David King on SEN basically said the same. He has a suspicion that advertising is playing a part (as well as goal umpires seemingly being afraid to back themselves in) I wonder if the memo to goal umpires has been something like: ‘if there’s even 0.0001% doubt, go to score review’

I only saw it as it happened, but Harmes definitely leans in and hits May on the chin. Still haven’t seen a replay but to the naked eye, it did look like he head butted him.

Someone else posted on Demonland that 0-2 to start a season means only 18% chance to play finals. So historically, one of pies or lions probably won’t play finals going off that, which is interesting
