  1. I’m seeing a lot more in recent weeks I feel which is good. There’s an opening in the market also for a Dees fan with social media savvy (and a good sense of humour) to do a Dan Gorringe type page too. Other clubs also have these kinds of pages that do really well. If you want to catch the eye of those youngins’ this is a way to do it. Any budding social media influencers out there Dees fans? Infiltrate their precious little minds with pro-demons propaganda in the algo, haha. Make a little bit of money from it too if it blows up.
  2. Personally I’m not really expecting anything next year and it’s kinda nice. Want to give King a year or two to get his list/game plan together and not lose my mind if we finish 14th again next year.
  3. To be fair… the bombers finished 1 game below us despite having about 17 injured players at one point. We had bugger all injuries this year.
  4. Quotes or get out
  5. Are we to expect the facilities will be haunted by horses? Haunted by jockeys?!?!
  6. Jack Leith
  7. He always sounds like he’s just had 4 pints on an empty stomach.
  8. He said they could’ve continued with Oliver and Tracc no problems which means it was SPARGO AND MCVEE ALL ALONG CAUSING THE ISSUES 😱😱😱😱😱😱
  9. Interesting read of a Guerra interview in the HS today. A bit of it was: (Referring to Maxy) “He believes we’ve done the right thing,” Guerra told the HS of Gawn the day after the club pulled the trigger on the pair of trades (CO/CP). “He actually believes our next premiership is now closer. He thinks he’ll actually play in the next premiership as well. We could have stuck with Clayton and Christian, no problems. But we finished 14th in 2024, 14th in 2025. And if nothing changes, then nothing changes. And we’ve made the decision that we don’t want to finish 14th again. “We want to improve ourselves and we want to go for the next premiership and put ourselves into a position where if we win one, we’re going again. “We have to do that by starting to compete. We’ve cleared any dressing room issues out. We’ve now got a group of people in with a fresh coach who has a really clear ambition how he wants to play the game.” And on Caulfield: Melbournes move to finally confirm a headquarters at the Caulfield racecourse continues apace with more positive meetings in the past fortnight. “All I would say is by the time the AGM comes around we will be in a position to give a really positive alignment.”
  10. My anti-M bigotry has been exposed. Almost threw up when I saw the Mitch Marsh thread.
  11. Do you know why he was delisted? I had seen a couple games he played and he looked alright. Looks quick but maybe his decision making wasn’t the best?
  12. Good comment. The way I see it, it could have been Tracc and Oliver out for 7&8 and a 3rd round pick. Instead we got 7&8, a future first and Steele. If you had asked me at the start of the trade period if I’d take that, I absolutely would have.
  13. Since 2020, he’s missed probably 60 games of footy. His body is stuffed.
  14. I don’t get this grading system. North got Spargo in and lost Finbar Malley and that’s all they did. Their first draft pick is 25. How is what they did equal to what we did?
  15. He’s 26. The upside down 9.
  16. Any particular reason? (I ask as I don’t know anything about him)
  17. I fear it is within both the club and Clarries interests that a few years pass before the full story and facts (if they ever do), come out. I would actually be pretty angry if the problems of the past few years (I.e. the previous administration) was carried over into this one and we are, yet again, in the media, front and centre, getting pilloried and made to continually look (or be exposed take your pick) like a disaster. I could personally go one year without any bull [censored] from the club.
  18. I’m not writing him off at all in terms of his ability to stay at the level, I have no doubt he’ll be able to play a few more years no problem. I just mean if he was to get a long term injury or something, a player like Steele is an excellent inclusion in terms of helping to cover his loss of leadership. Just wouldn’t want to find ourselves suddenly in an experience/leadership vacuum and too much burden being placed on the younger guys before they’re ready. I think it’s a good contingency to have him in the team if that scenario eventuated IMO.
  19. Yeah I’m interested in how King will fit he and Viney into this team. Found this stat which jumped out at me. 2025 Season: Viney 89 turnovers Oliver 83 turnovers Tracc 101 turnovers Steele…….. 55 turnovers…. This is very telling, haha And if we lose Max/McDonald/May/Melksham during or at the end of this season, we will need Steele for his proven leadership capabilities. We don’t want to create a vacuum of experience and have the younger unproven guys carrying more weight than they need to IMO. Going into the following seasons. Plus we essentially just swapped Oliver out for Steele in which would only have been a 3rd rounder.
  20. His last two years have been the 2nd and 3rd highest in his career for clearances and he also pretty much played full seasons too, so he’s still firing and getting on the park. Others have mentioned it but getting him to teach/coach the younger guys during games is a huge plus.
  21. I have zero connections to the club so am speaking purely from reading between the lines and outcomes from afar, but the needs of Clarry vs the needs of the group seems to have been a balance that wasn’t achieved. Playing him when he was visibly out of shape and essentially no preseason RD 1 (?)in 2024, seemed like it was what was good for Clarry and not what was good for the group. That looked to me like unequal standards that perhaps any player a part from Max/Tracc would not have been given the same leeway on. If a player isn’t at the requisite level of fitness expected or everyone else because of injury/mental health reasons, that’s fine. But they shouldn’t play until they have reached the standard everyone else has to. Otherwise it’s not a standard. This seemed to be a part of the equation why things blew up.
  22. Is every supporter, on here, though? It felt like it was just his official bookend to an era to me 🤷‍♂️
  23. But if you say it’s Steele for Oliver, I looks much better, haha.
  24. So it’s essentially Mcvee our for Jiath in. Not sure if I would say one is much better than the other at this stage. Tracc out for 3 first rounders. If it’s 7&8 and maybe 10-12ish next year, that’s good compensation. Oliver out for Steele in. I’d have taken this at the start of the period for sure. At least it’s not Oliver out for nothing. Heath in and Mihocek in. Pretty good result I’d say. Could have been a LOT worse. As an aside, Brisbane had like 7-9 injuries from their starting 22 and they still won the flag. That’s a deep, deep list. Hopefully we’re looking at some of those players for next years trade period.
