Farewell Clayton Oliver
And you can have 2 people with the same kind of adhd and one of them may be a ickhead and one of them may not be an ickhead. People are much more complex than the labels associated with them.

Aren’t all Dees supporters born with the supporting Melbourne genetic defect?

The Saints trade manager gives me Steve Brule vibes.

Ah ok yup, makes sense. Thanks for explaining. You can only look at what’s in front of you so if everyone is seeing less skills compared to other years then at this stage it’s a weaker draft.

May I just ask you, when you say there are limited standouts compared to other years, do you mean when you look at this years players, it’s 7-8 (random number) players that stand out and everyone is just kinda in the mix in this draft alone? As opposed to other years where it could be 20 players that are clear standouts in that year? Or are you comparing the players in this years draft with how other players looked in other draft years? (P.S. I’m not doubting you, I’m just interested in what the metrics are to determine that this years draft isn’t as strong as other years) Cheers

The List Manager Tim Lamb
What’s changed (with May) between being asked to find another club and now we’re saying we expect him to stay?

Also this Grand Final is BALListic. But seriously it’s nuts.

I’m fine with vanquishing every other Victorian club interstate to be the only Vic club in the AFL if that’s what you mean?

Yeah I’ve done the same, only just occurred to me that I don’t understand how/why it’s assessed as weak beyond ‘it’s just not very good’.

I’m asking this as I genuinely don’t know myself, but how is a weak draft ‘measured’ (for lack of a better word)? Don’t each draft year only play against others in the same year for example? I don’t know if I’m asking the question properly. Edit: for example: is it purely just low skilled players? Is it a draft with the ‘wrong’ kinds of players for the modern game?

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
We have JVR, Jefferson and Kentfield as these young developing forwards. Whether they make it is another story.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I fully expect they will because they won’t be in the same midfield together and will probably be alongside mids that can kick. Getting their hands on the ball wasn’t the issue. I thought we would let go of one of them, not both of them.

Nice, 2 year deal. Leads well, workhorse and kicks goals. Hopefully this whole toe situation can be rectified.

Usually success breeds success, except for us post 21, haha ***starts sobbing uncontrollably whilst I eat my chicken roll*** And I completely agree with you re: having a very good coach is more important than having very good players. Champion team vs a team of champions etc. But Hawks did bring in good players which strengthened them in Barass/Ginnivan/Battle. And I’m personally not getting too excited/expecting to play finals next year. Want to give King time to settle in and properly set up his own list that he can utilise which could be a few seasons. But that’s just me.

The thought of us getting picks for Tracc and using them for more players from the draft worries me. If senior/established (and GOOD) players don’t want to come to us, then I feel like we’re on a North trajectory. Lots of high picks with not a lot of success. Whilst the senior guys suddenly drop off and we have a leadership vacuum. I’ve heard Jordan Lewis and other analysts talk about strong/successful clubs and how it’s the experienced players you bring in, more so, than having high draft picks that counts. Look at the players Geelong (paper baggers yes) and Brisbane have brought in from other clubs and then look at Essendon and North for example. You bring in experienced players to support the players you have developed through your system and we are bereft of this. It’s been mentioned to death, but we haven’t brought anyone in that has made us better for 4/5 years. I feel like this and next year is going to dictate where we end up as a club for the next decade by who we do or don’t attract to our club. Hope my concerns are misplaced.

2025 Player Reviews: #12 Koltyn Tholstrup
So the fact that Kolt is mentioned in multiple threads, with multiple posters also posting in both threads, yet you specifically mention Ghosty, but don’t pointedly direct a comment towards them. I’ve had a lot of disagreements with a lot of people on this site, they probably very much dislike me, but the one thing I can guarantee they will tell you is, I don’t shirk a confrontation. I just want to know why you don’t say it directly to them instead of just mentioning their name. The @ capability is right there. Help me understand your thought processes.

Why do you feel the need to bring up Ghosty in multiple threads? I’m genuinely curious.
