Excellent point. I'd add Mitchell to those three but of the rest, eleven would expect to make finals and those that don't will certainly feel the media and fan heat. Only ones exempt from finals expectations are Yze and Clarkson but if I was a North supporter I'd want massive improvement on what he's delivered so far. Another two win season for Richmond and it may well be bye bye Adem. Whoever gets the West Coast job probably has a free hit.

My poor family are exhausted. Twenty of us turned out for Port on Thursday, most got back in time to represent the Dogs in the second half last night and now a full contingent of Witches Hats is running around for the Blues.

AFLW GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs Geelong
Witches Hat replied to Timothy Reddan-A'Blew's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
We've been blessed with a couple of outstanding captains. Daisy's record speaks for itself and I thought Kate Hore almost single handedly kept us in touch in the first half. Good game to watch. -

GWS miles ahead of anyone else. After that...ABH - Anyone But Hawthorn.

I think we're too tall down back. With the weather forecast the way it is I won't be devastated if there's a late change and either Brown or Woey come in for Tomlinson.
-
I've got Freo in, Carlton out. If my recent tipping form is any indication there is zero chance of this happening.

Couple of emoji's short for Sam McClure. -
Gary Dempsey Justin Madden Barry Round A few handy ones not far off. John Nicholls, Carl Ditterich, Simon Madden and Sam Newman were all a lot closer to 35 than 34 when they played their last games. That is an elite group and Gawn sits comfortably among them.

Thirteen games in the last two seasons, dodgy knees and about to turn 32. JVR, Turner, Petty and Jefferson all in front of him. I will be stunned if he's going around next year. Forever grateful for his 2021 contribution to the premiership.
-
No idea but not playing yesterday surely puts a line through a call up next week?
-
If we give BBB a farewell senior appearance do we do the same for Lachie Hunter who is sitting on 199 games? I'd rather pick our strongest 23 and bury them.

Kings Birthday. I expected us to come out breathing fire, we came out breathing Kool Mints. Trac's injury was just the icing on the cake.

We don't have to be losing for Demonland to be a miserable place. I give you the post North Melbourne game thread as Exhibit A.
-
You are right. I just checked MCC website. I don't know why it would be closed to the public this week, can't be weather related.
-
Disrupted train services will still be a factor but at least the hypothermia threat of a fortnight ago isn't there. Despite the woeful performance last week surely we get mid 20K.
-
Essendon have an abundance of talls so Peter Wright may be gettable but I wouldn't want to be giving much up for him. Whatever happened to Sam Weideman?
-
Quite possibly home by 3/4 time.

I assume you missed school on the day they covered punctuation?

Won't Hawthorn get JC under the father/son rule? (One for the oldies - that whole God/Peter Hudson thing). I'll let myself out.

It's not very often I agree with you PF but 100% on this one. The inconsistency is breathtaking. Zac Butters and Toby Greene are both repeat offenders for whacking opponents in the stomach but that's ok as long as nobody gets hurt. Just fine them. It won't happen but I'd love one of these two to finish second in the Brownlow behind Heeney and therefore win it. Fairest and Best?
-
Haven't forgotten him. Just pray the selectors have.
-
We could debate this forever. My ten cents worth? Right call in the end.

Extraordinary. Seven from seven. We can't complain that we weren't given the heads up.
