  1. Where has this Kosi rumour started? I'll feel sick if we lose him..
  2. Agree. Thinking our list is superior is silly. Our midfield group is superior and that's where it stops. They're a far more even side and have a fantastic spread of attribute diversity across all lines. They also have a much better coaching group. Leppa, Bolton and Mcrae. Our game-plan and system won us a flag, we need to change a fair bit up if we want to see a dynasty.
  3. Langdon would have to have kicked the most out-on-the full balls of any player this year. Would be genuinely interested in that stat. I rate his overlap run, but like so many of our players, his deficiencies cancel out so much of his good work. Like Petracca with his goal kicking both set shot and on the run. Petracca, Brayshaw, Oliver and Viney need to halve the amount of blind bomb kicks they do both out of centre bounce and around the ground. The amount of opposition turnover scores that result from those kinds of kicks would be of interest me. It absolutely kills me how much composure those guys lack at times. Many issues but our unforced errors from so many of our top-liners really kill us and have contributed to our moments of loss of momentum as well as our inability to really put teams to the sword when we've been up in games. We simply need to add more finishing, composure and kicking skills to our squad. We are too one-dimensional as a midfield and half-forward unit.
  4. I want to see an injection of players who possess genuine finishing, composure and goal kicking in our forwardline next year. Even if it means it's at the expense of a couple of mainstayers like ANB. The thought of Joel Smith getting regular minutes up forward is also nightmarish imo. We need to completely reset and rejig the forwardline next year and reshuffle some midfield spots if we want a threatening side all over the field.
  5. I'd take Liam Henry in a heartbeat and play him deep forward with Kosi playing some more minutes at centre bounce next year. If Henry could bring consistent pressure then those two would be an enormous headache for opposition and if we got back to some more daring ball movement going forward, they could get off the chain. Also brings incredible excitement to our forwardline which we're lacking badly.
  6. @binmanhave you posted anything re 'loading' since our win vs Brisbane up there? Genuine question because you're silent everytime I @ you.
  7. Final prediction crowd lord?
  8. Update @Fear the beard ?
  9. If you have reasons that you believe are valid for not attending, you have no need to feel uncomfortable about the criticism? But if you feel uncomfortable, you must be taking it personally? So I'm confused.
  10. Brisbane were very loud in round 15. They had a lot of support there and they'll only have more given it's a final. So if we do indeed get around the 55-60K range I'm going to guess that there'll be more than 10,000 Brissy supporters. More like 15,000. We got about 35,000 to our Grand Final day at the G fcs! This is a semi final! What's going on!?
  11. Well it doesn't matter whether it's members or just supporters. Getting under 60k to a semi final for a side who have been in the wilderness for decades is a disappointment and I'm not sure that can be argued?
  12. Perhaps. I get the feeling there'll be more Brissy supporters there than most are giving credit. Fitzroy supporters, there'll still be a percentage of Brissy Lion MCC supporters and then you've got the Melb based ones plus thousands that will travel down. Was just hoping for it to be a very raucous and loud pro Melb crowd.
  13. Hunter Clark is a poor man's Brayshaw and not what we need at all. He is literally a downgraded Brayshaw. They have a very similar skill and weakness set.
  14. So disappointing. If I was a melb player running out of the race to a half empty G for a semi, I'd be slightly deflated.
  15. Given we have 65k members. Plus thousands of MCC supporting non-members, how could one possibly think 55k at a semi final would be an excellent result?
  16. I really hope you understood what I wrote Old. I said better at ground level. Especially in the wet.
  17. Would do better than Gawn (forwardline) , Brown and Fritsch on a wet and windy night. Van Rooyen is a better ground player than all of them.
  18. Why did I open this thread.
  19. It's about ball movement. And that's a Goodwin imprint. And when you say it's hardly a "super list", are you referring to the forwards alone? We are instructed to kick to pockets on slow plays. It's been drilled so far into the players' pyches that they consistently miss hittable options elsewhere. The shackles need to be released for the rest of this campaign and I don't mean a full team Essendon style offensive attack where we leave our defenders completely vulnerable. But our players just need to be given the licence to hit other options/spots when going forward from slow plays. All teams left bar Brisbane know how to trouble our defenders going forward and know how to stifle our forwards when we go forward. We are not winning it from here without a couple of curveballs.
  20. Melbourne supporters are so weird. Can't wait for the new generation to come through and it's less oldies from south-side of the river who prefer to watch on their 80 inch LG C1's from home to avoid a few raindrops. Why do our supporters pick and choose so often? It's a [censored] semi final!
  21. @Fear the beard Sales update plz? How's level 4 looking?
  22. Goodwin conceded that on reflection Max Gawn should have been given more time in the ruck with Luke Jackson spending more time forward. So to the posters who consistently have a go at those who question Goodwin's decisions, here is one example (of many) where he got it wrong. And admitted as much. Many of his decisions should be questioned, regardless of the fact we won a flag last year.
  23. I agree with David King's comments on 360. I think we can win tomorrow night without Petracca and we need him at 100% against Geelong. We saw what happened last time he said he was 'right to go'. He was absolutely useless against Freo when he was crook. This is where the coach needs to step in and think about what's best for the team on the night as well as going forward. I'd rest him, then load up and throw everything at Geelong.
  24. Fingers crossed Jackson goes, we get a draft haul plus Grundy. A host of changes in the off-season, a refined game-style and a more potent offensive system. And no Loading. Thnx Santa.
