  1. FWIW; ā€œ Who is the fastest player in the Melbourne Demons? Kade Chandler When it came to the club's speed Demons, Kade Chandler topped the charts with a scintillating 35.2km/hr sprint recorded in Opening Round against Sydney. Caleb Windsor and Kysaiah Pickett were the other Demons to feature in the top five speeds recorded by a Melbourne player in 2024.ā€
  2. He is one of, if not fastest player at the club. Top speeds in games last season were published in an article in the site. I think people scratch around for reasons that often don’t exist to not like chin.

I don’t think he has too much to repay
  4. My point is: I’ll hold my pre-season excitement for Jeff until I hear he is taking pack/contested marks, working over key defenders and/or taking marks on a lead.
  5. It was a reference to Jeffo
  6. Heard a lot about him gaining size this pre-season but yet to read of him hitting a pack for a contested mark or taking marks on the lead in match sim or out-muscling Maysie etc. Felt when Roo was turning the corner I read about a lot of those things in the pre-season.

Good footballer. Looks like a bog-ordinary bloke. He’d fit in perfectly over there.
  8. JT would still include him in his rankings. Keeping the comment ā€œour next preferredā€ in the edit for a pick 6 draftee was a bit odd… so my assumption is it was a direct reference to the publically known fact we selected Ashcroft before him.
  9. I want to see the behind the scenes documentary about how they managed to have jumpers ready with their pick number/name on the back! Did they have a a whole bunch of variations of name and pick number ready to go? Did they just wing it and prepare one jumper for each and hope for the best? Did they iron the numbers and name on the spot and if so who brought the iron?! David Copperfield areas.
  10. Could well have been referencing Levi. We did select him before Langford, after all.
  11. He clearly has a huge tank but that might not necessarily translate to dominant 2km times. I recall Nibbler and Tomlinson dominating recent time trials but I can’t recall Lingers being in that top bracket.
  12. Crikey you can’t call your kid Roy George!
  13. Still out and about from Saturday night?
  14. How did Clarry used to go in these time trials back when he was at peak fitness?
  15. The westies wouldn’t know flavour if it smacked them in the face though
  16. Bowza coming onto Eddie’s wing in this scenario is an instant win for our decision making/delivery into the forward line but I wonder whether he has the thank for that role?
  17. Agree they are rare but it can change the way an opposition team sets up around the contest/ who they play on you if you’re known to be strong in the air. A bit like a keeper coming up to the stumps to a quick bowler - the stumping isn’t their priority, they’re trying to keep the batsman back in the crease to aid the bowler’s length. Keeps the batsman honest.
  18. A 60-goal year from Roo is in my letter to Santa
  19. He was great with the kids at the race on game day last year, always had time for the little ones, always very engaging.
  20. Me too.
  21. Don't know much about him nor the NBL under Larry K to be honest…
  22. Jay Clarke tweeted that David Stevenson (NBL) and Simon Garlick are names in our CEO hunt (he didn’t give much more context. mentioned Swann likely to extend with Brisbane.
  23. I sense a subtle/carefully planned petulance to Christian’s approach at the moment. He is acknowledging his love for footy and ticking the boxes as an athlete (early back to training) but not outwardly making the effort we’d all hoped to mend the club/culture problems he so publically surfaced. He’s a big boy and he can do what he wants but I hope he understands how that might impact some of the younger and fringe players in the side that are so grateful for their opportunity at the club and with each other. It is probably why he never really progressed as a recognised leader at the club at any stage of his career.
  24. Ben Simmons jumped in on Trac’s Inst post today to swat away some filth bogan trying to claim him as a pie. Good on ya Ben.
