Farewell Brodie Grundy
.Not really sure what ācapableā means in this context⦠One thing that canāt be argued is he is inconsistent up frwd and is an absolutely terrible shot for goal, which annoyingly is an important skill for the position. His goal accuracy this yr is 34% which is in the worst bracket for performance in the compā¦. The majority of NBA teams have a more efficient 3 point average than Max has accurate shots at the big sticks.

Our biggest issue is...
The way I read it is; Our game plan has three parts; 1. defensive structure that limits scoring (priority) and promotes rebound/turnover (2nd priority) 2. Strength at stoppage (to drive forward) 3. Contest and re-contest in the forward 50. weāre a bit (just a bit) off in 2 of 3; 1. Opposition put most effort into this - keep May & Hibbo deep when possible and keep Lever accountable. Salem & Bowey off too. 2. Feel this part of our game remains strong. 3. TMac missing a decent problem - largely because he creates space/protection for BBB who either marks it or hits contests better to provide more quality ground ball for our smalls. Plus he is worth a few goals too. a few screws a little bit loose, but just a little bit.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Paddy Ryder anyone? I genuinely thought he was voluntarily retiring but that might not be the case. Obvious risk with his age and body but if you got 1 season and 15 games out of him⦠clearly on strategy for Goodwinās game plan and would come a lot cheaper than Grundyā¦

Wolf of Wall street
I dunno about this idea⦠itās the playersā thing and I believe they do it if they keep the opposition below 60 points. Would love to see it once in the crowd with 2 minutes left in a grand final weāre about to win but I feel if we see it done 5 times a week in the crowd it kinda cheapens a concept they clearly bond around.

What's next for Adem Yze?
Barham backed himself into a corner by listing the want for an āexperiencedā coach as justification for the truck sacking. If youāre ever having a bad day, just remember it could be worse, you could be an essendon supporter. Theyāre being run like a 3rd world country.

Most well known Dees supporter amoungst the supporter base?
I was pushing my kid in a pram one day with a Melbourne jacket on and I here someone scream at the top of their voice āCARN THE MIGHTY DEESā. Turned around and it was Archie Thompson riding his bike. Didnāt know he was a Dee. Makes sense now.

TEAMS: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
They havenāt changed materially anywhere, Dees weāre into 1.96 with Sportsbet this morning. Harmes being named to sit on Neale isnāt going to shift the market - odds can often change as teams are announced because thatās when the markets only start to become liquid (just the bookiesā guess before that).
