JVR Extends to 2025
I sort of agree, but Jackson also won a GF and spent another of time in WA. I mean what else to you play footy for? But I hope you are right, easy for me to say being a life long demons fan haha

JVR Extends to 2025
Just saying whilst an extension is good. It's not over yet. But we now have 3 years to watch him grow in the Red and Blue

JVR Extends to 2025
This is awesome news, but Jackson also did the same in his second year. So let's hope we get another contract extension in a couple of years

Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
Daw, Brown, Brown, Dunstan were all those type players. in terms of Key position depth they are perfect, but only one or two.

Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
Collingwood have just delisted Caleb Poulter, 20yo kid from SA who played 11 games in his first season and looked like a great prospect. Not sure why he didn't get an opportunity at Collingwood maybe because they have a lot in that position, would be a great pick up IMO, young has played at the AFL level and a wingman which is a area we are shallow in.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
Agree with a pacey ball user, unfortunately none of those three were good ball users. a Whitfield type would be amazing if they are in the draft there somewhere.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
Hope we get that Jefferson, kid kicked 7 goals in 2 games with a fractured leg. we need some more young KPF. This year could be a year for late steals, these kids are the "covid" kids, there development has been stunted a bit and haven't played a lot of footy over the past 3 years(which is why experts are saying its a shallow draft, they haven't seen enough of these kids) this is where talent gurus come into their own and earn their money. I wouldn't bee surprised if some kids taken 20-30 turn out to be a lot better than they have been touted to be.

Five man interchange
This has been talked about by media all year, and has ramped up in the media in the past week. I noted this when we first went for Grundy and how it could work nicely. Coaches don't like the fact that a team gains an advantage when a player is injured, whilst i think if one side activates their sub then the other side should be allowed to also do so. The AFL looks like they are just going to go to a 5 man bench, and no changes to rotation limits. This fits very well with the Grundy/Gawn combo, and also allows us to play 2 talls up forward and maybe a tall/hybrid on the bench too

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
Not at all, that's how much I rate Schache

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
We would not want to be giving up much bor paying much for this poor man's Weidemen
- Welcome to Demonland Lachie Hunter

Farewell Brodie Grundy
27 for Grundy, well done Dees that is a steal!

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
Id prefer a speculative draft than him. Whilst I agree we need another tall, we're not as bad off as people think. We still have JVR and Tommo (who can play def and push Petty fwd). I do think we need another ruck though, even if it's from the state levels

Trade and Free Agency rumours
Hunt wasn't a deal, he left as a free agent. Whilst I was not impressed with the Jackson trade, basically we will have traded out Jackson and Bedford and got in Grundy and 2 first rounders. If we get a third rounder for Weid that great for us, but if he does leave I think we have to hold Tommo as a tall back up
-
Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
I hope this isn't true, Schache isn't even a VFL level player
- Farewell Toby Bedford
-
Farewell Brodie Grundy
Haha I actually forgot about our own pick.
-
Farewell Sam Weideman
Sorry but I'm not including May. Petty is a swing option but these two are backman, marking in the backline is alot different to the fwd line. They have great "shock" impact through an in game move but give a team time to plan for them they will be less effective.
-
Farewell Brodie Grundy
Only be 2 wouldn't it? Or have we got a 3rd 2023 first rounder from someone else?
-
Farewell Brodie Grundy
Could we package up our 3 x 2nd rounders for Grundy and a Future 1st?
-
Farewell Sam Weideman
We don't need Weid, he isn't a fwd back up which he has proved and he isn't a proper ruck. Every year back up rucks switch around, we will find one if we need one. Some forward depth woukd be nice, but Weids past seasons have shown us he isn't up to it. If Ess are offering a 3rd rounder that's awesome as I'd say that's overs. But he is contracted. Out fwd stocks aren't as bad as people think. Brown, T-Mac, JVR, Grundy and Gawn. They can't all play in one side, another fwd would be ideal but they are light on atm.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Or could we be looking to package picks up to move up the draft?

Farewell Luke Jackson
2nd tied to the dockers is disappointing. Wanted the Roos pick
