  1. Hayward would be a great pick, he is a much better version of McAdam. Medium fwd that can chop out in the midfield, the only issue with paying him $$$ is that I think Tholstrup will become that player too. But if its to get a player that will get us to that last day in September in the next 2 years then that doesn't matter.
  2. Hope everyone enjoys the weekend if you are looking for a nice meal head to Juan's Torta Cantina in Brompton, Mexican sandwiches that are amaizing. Fresh ingredients with those lovely Mexican flavours. Also some great cocktails!! If you do go say hi to Jon the chef and owner and tell him DT sent you!
  3. 1 goal assist and 3 score involvements, yes he needs to be better than that game. But he doesn't waste the footy too often. Having players like him, Langodon, ANB and Windsor all in side make it very had for an opposition side to keep up
  4. Billings as a wing rotation and his foot skills are important to us. Ha stays in, no one in our reserves has the polish he does. Also gives Langdon and Windsor a chop out and keeps our run fresh through the game
  5. Great win, great win! Being a South Aussie Dees fan, if would could make it 2 from 2 this week against the other SA side, ohhh that would be bliss. big question is load management this week, BBB has been important to our structure, he is going to have quiet games and we need to realise his performance isn't graded on stats or goals which is quite obvious by his leading patterns. He is quite obviously taking his man away from the hot spot and creating space, and we use him if it is the best option. He is going to need a rest at some stage, if May is back then Petty will go fwd and we might be able to manage Browns minutes that way, but i think he needs whole game rests not in game rests. What is the best way to manage him?
  6. i love the nick names haha, maybe we need a key at the start of each training post. just more work for the amazing people that do this for us all
  7. Whilst this is great news, id still be tempted to give him managed minutes in the VFL. In a perfect world we do play him and be 60 points up halfway through the 3rd v the Hawks and we could sub him off.
  8. Its a Moo point, the numbers will come out and we will be the best attending club again beside the big 4 Melb clubs (Rich, Coll, Ess & Carlt) Is frustrating though!
  9. lets see the doomsdayers try wine about this win great win, with petty still to come in
  10. he is pretty important to the midfield rotation and making sure our other mids get a rest
  11. lever did not need to do that, is a miss match in his favor
  12. Sparrow putting 0 body on Buku didn't help either
  13. stop giving away free kicks in our fwd line!
  14. Should have been holding the ball too
  15. 3 high tackle given away in our fwd line, hurts turning it over there
  16. this is a great thought. The dogs back 6 is poor! BB i have always liked but his body has let him down, but if he can be a "dummy" lead to create space for JVR it's an important role!
  17. Confirmed ins: Pickett and Hore Who else comes in? Fullarton/Brown or Tmac as FF I think. And Billings into the side pushing Laurie to sub?
  18. Lachie Hosie, Liam McBean, Luke Reynalds, Harry Boyd all SANFL all bar 1 have been on an AFL list before. Ben Sokol, Zac Clarke, Tyler Keitel from the WAFL
  19. Is a bye in there too, Syd, Dogs, Hawks, Port, Adel, Bye Hard run, but only Port have 2 good solid tall defenders, the others are good teams but def is their weak point. Especially tall defenders. So not too bad to go into those games without Petty(obviously prefer a fit Petty in), he needs to be completely cherry ripe for the back end of the year. If that means he only plays 10 games from round 7 onward then so be it!
  20. And there is why you kick to the pocket!
  21. Looks like they are at Gosch's today. Going by the instagram
  22. People need to calm down a bit, we will be going in with the same fwd line we had in the back half of last year, and got us within a kick of a Prelim (without JVR). Whilst it's not ideal we know how to play with this fwd line and will do untill the cattle are ready to trott out onto the park. Play the long game, not round 1.
  23. I hope he sits in Tracs back pocket, he reminds me of Trac at the same age. Same build, skills, confidence but agree hopefully a better shot a goal
