Agree. I think 2019 has shown just how good he was, despite some flaws

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
If everyone gets back to their 2018 form, we are still 2 goals a game down (Hogan) We had a lot of games decided by less than 2 goals

I love Fritsch as much as the next guy, but are we confident he can kick enough goals when teams put more work into him as a permanent forward?

We desperately need someone who can help get back the 47 goals Hogan gave us in 2018

I just had a bit of a browse through some 2019 stats on goal kickers for Brisbane, Collingwood, GWS, Richmond and Melbourne. Brisbane: 20+ Goals - 7 Players (Cameron & Hipwood combined for 92) 10+ Goals - 12 Players Collingwood: 20+ Goals - 5 players (De Goey & Mihocek combined for 70) 10+ Goals - 13 Players GWS: 20+ Goals - 4 players (Cameron & Finlayson combined for 120) 10+ Goals - 11 Players Richmond: 20+ Goals - 4 players (Dusty & Lynch combined for 95) 10+ Goals - 9 Players Melbourne: 20+ Goals - 3 players (T-Mac & Weid combined for 29) 10+ Goals - 7 Players Yes, we can all agree we had an ordinary year, but scoring power still has to be a major concern? Plus we are talking about moving our second highest goal scorer into the midfield for more minutes

And T-Mac didn't do anything in 2019 to suggest he should be relied upon either

That ^ list doesn't promise 14-16 goals a week

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
It’s been mentioned a couple of times, but the fact Langdon is always on the move and at speed, will improve us instantly. For a team that relied on chaos, we were very flat footed in 2019. The way Richmond run the ball is purely due to the fact that at any given point, 80% of their side is trying to run to create an option or space for someone else. If we can get back to running for each other, it will go a long way to helping us jump back up the ladder. Both T-Mac and Weid are lead up forwards, so they should be licking their lips at the thought of genuine movement on either wing

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Hope everyone on the list is ready to run next year, Langdon will be burning past our players and making them look second rate if they don't. Great get and that 2-way running power will be enormous on the 'G

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
I happened to be listening to Nick Dal Santo on Trade Radio earlier this morning and he went through the picks from 15 onwards in all drafts from 2008-2016. Very few of them end up playing 100 games and forging reasonable careers. It was 1 in 5 or something along those lines. I think known quantities to fill specific needs is the ideal scenario, once outside the top 10-15

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
So aside from everyone being upset about 1 or 2 names, we can all acknowledge the list isn’t filled with consistent high end talent
-
Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
He’d probably win more matches for us on one leg than we managed this year
-
Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
I would hope we are at least sniffing about, he is a bona fide superstar/match winner and we are bereft of them

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
Lot more effort went in to that one He also warned against the drop off and getting comfy with the 2018 results

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
I am not so sure about the other teams fitting them in, but I can see where you are coming from. One thing I always notice is we are never the target of raids from other clubs at this time of year (Hogan the exception)

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
Good on you for having a go, hasn't been many willing

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
When season 2020 starts, everyone's 2018 form will be from 18 months ago. That's a long period of time.

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
Up against the rest of the league, I'm not so sure? As I suggested earlier, the West Coast mids next year of Shuey, Nic Nat, Yeo & Tim Kelly are so far ahead of us it hurts to think about. That's just the most obvious example

Josh Jenkins
I'd go something like this; Tracc T-mac Fritsch Lockhart Jenkins Melksham We are still light on for a genuinely exciting small forward, not sure Butler really helps there either. You need 2 real A-grade KPF's to have a number of good smalls, so we are stuck with Mid-size HFF's filling gaps I'll also add, the way we tend to dump the ball into the 50 probably suits Jenkins. He'll win plenty of opportunities just out of panic from backmen infringing with his size close to goal.

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
I really like Harmes, don't get me wrong. Just think our starting 4 midfielders vs West Coast 2020 highlights how far off we are. Max and Clayton break even, then we get smoked
-
Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
@daisycutterThat is probably a bit rough, I agree. He is a brilliant clubmen and the effort is always there. How much time would the opposition put into worrying about Harmes each week? Edit: I should add that we are comparing against the rest of the AFL here

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
I'd like to see where everyone rates that list compared to Bucky. For me; T-Mac & Viney down to B- KK down to C May up to B Tracc up to B- Rest I am relatively comfortable with.

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
This will upset many here, but I feel he is pretty close to the mark.
