  1. Fair, I just meant they were following a fairly steady trend of improvement.
  2. GC loading up on Trac and potentially JUH is a little desperate in my mind. They have been building naturally, albeit slowly, this is an entirely different beast
  3. Will be very hard on clubs now. TDK will become the benchmark now, I’d say Humphrey would have a better chance of influencing games than he does
  4. There’s no chance Bailey meets with multiple clubs if GC are dead against trading him. These meetings would have been planned prior to the Petracca nomination of GC
  5. Like this, can provide some experience and a bigger body to help JVR. If JVR can kick 35+ and Brody the same, we’ll all be doing cartwheels
  6. If we manage to turn Humphrey and Flanders into Ainsworth & Flanders, it would be the most Melbourne thing of all.
  7. I’m with you, King has come in and told them Geelong were not at all concerned with Oliver and Trac getting the footy, they just give it straight back or you can torch them the other way. I am in the Clarry fan club, at his best I was more than happy to say he was the number 1 player in the league. His work in close, even when unfit, was simply a thing of beauty. I hope a fresh start re-energises him and he finds some peace.
  8. Uh-oh, there’s probably a farm that desperately needs tending to
  9. Agree with this. We’ll be some older, experienced players down but we should get considerable growth from some young boys (Windsor/XL/Langford) which could drive us further forward than maintaining the status quo would have
  10. Looks much more athletic already
  11. There is no world where Jack Viney is a better player than Lachie Whitfield. 2012 draft had some fair failures in the too 10. Same goes for Harry Himmelberg over Jacob Weitering, that is crazy talk Good effort to have a go though
  12. I doubt there’s been too many key forwards who have left a GF feeling anything other than completely battered. The nature of these games is totally different and the smalls thrive because of the numbers drawn to aerial contests. You definitely need big forwards in a GF
  13. Given you are obviously super invested in Judd and allegedly have ties to him, what’s the feedback from Goody on why he didn’t get the role at Melbourne? He’s not a line breaking kick, isn’t an elite mark, nor does he have blistering speed. If he plays regular footy at Freo, I am very confident it’s in the exact same role he was so keen to avoid

I would throw everything, including the kitchen sink, at Zac Bailey
  15. Would also do the deal if it ends up as pick 14 + Rachelle and Adelaide pay the full salary. If they want to throw in Pedlar as steak knives, I would take him too. He’s not afraid of a goal in the little I have seen. We played the entire season with Trac (who I think was a fair way off his best) , ultimately coming 2nd in the B&F - We still finished 14th. If we ended up with Trac out and got Flanders and Rachelle in. We are quite a bit more dynamic in two parts of the ground simultaneously.
  16. Wonder how much lenience the Cats give Bailey Smith in 2026, given he was a walking headline for most of 2025. Good when you’re winning but when elite sport is won based on very small percentages, the distraction might not be worth it.
  17. I’m curious, using your own grading system, how you rate Viney, Sparrow, Windsor, Kolt, Langdon, Lindsay and Culley?
  18. I watched the highlights of Sullivan Robey’s big day out with 40+ and 3 goals, he’s definitely the prototype of big and powerful that everyone wants. Didn’t see many field kicks hit targets though 💁🏼
  19. I think Mihocek would spell the end for Melksham, but I don’t see that as a bad thing. Melksham has had a good year by his standards and has kicked less goals then Mihocek, plus he’s not growing any taller or getting any quicker
  20. As the game opens up, older forwards with some nous are as valuable as ever. Not a single person would have picked Gunston kicking 60+ this year? I’d take him, Kentfield and JVR into Round 1 with a mosquito fleet around them and tell all of them to never stand still.
  21. Completely agree
  22. I’m of the belief that Judd wants to play a role that doesn’t suit Judd, hence why he’s not played there. I’ll be very happy if it turns out to be incorrect and he flourishes, further up the field
  23. Isn’t that the point, you get what you pay for
  24. I’d value AMW as a far more attacking player than Judd. Judd is becoming very Salem like with his ball use, it’s safe but not damaging
  25. He's played to a level that Sharp, Billings, Spargo, Handerson, Sparrow, Brown, Kolt (yet) & Woewodin have not. We need players from somewhere to fill list spots and an actual AFL player is far superior to a good VFL player. We can’t have AA players on every magnet, so upgrading these guys is a major step forward
