  1. IMO , stats for “Pressure Acts” are very overrated , ie. 1.2 points for “Corralling” All players must bring more to the table than just applying pressure. Where would ANB sit on a League table for Fumbles and/ or being caught with the ball ?
  2. We would be a better side if ANB , Hibberd , Hunt & Melksham were not in our best 22.
  3. ABN He has all the attributes of a Cattle dog.
  4. ANB & Hibberd How would you rate their games tonight ?
  5. ABN Agree with the above. Will also add he was run down from behind twice, when he shouldn’t have been :- had plenty of time.
  6. ANB In my view he should be doing a lot more than tackling and “pressure acts”. Re. “Pressure Acts” , I was surprised to see ( recently ) that “CORRALLING” gains a player 1.2 points in the PA stats. That’s an easy way for players to build up cheap stats ! To me, corralling usually means a player has been beaten to the ball by an opponent and rather than apply direct pressure would opt to take the easy way out.
  7. Harmes in, Neal - Bullen out Brayshaw to stay in the middle, permanently.
  8. Out : Neal - Bullen In : Harmes

AFL Umpires @ Adelaide oval Like deja’ vu , all over again.
  10. When Turner is available, Hibberd May Lever Rivers Turner Salem Jordon Brayshaw Langdon Viney Petty Bedford Petracca Weideman Fritsch Gawn JACKSON Oliver Pickett Spargo Bowey Dunstan sub Harmes
  11. And to think some “demonlanders” scoffed at the idea of Sparrow replacing Jordon late in the season, refer to separate thread ‘Tom Sparrow’.
  12. In others words he ( Rivers ) is no Tom Scully.
  13. Round 23 Sparrow preferred over Jordon “Abysmal” selection ?
  14. I suppose you went to ‘great depths’ to pull that one out. Touch’e
  15. Just my opinion but I don’t think Jordon is any cleaner than Sparrow, also Jordon doesn’t seem to be able to move the ball on from a mark/free all that quickly. I haven’t check the stats but I would say Jordon has had far more opportunity than Sparrow , who has been Sub numerous times this year.
  16. Sparrow. more drive than Jordon Sparrow more upside than Jordon Jordon better Role player than Sparrow ATM, Sparrow better option than Jordon, just.
  17. 1. Politely suggest you look again, pressure was on the neck, not the side of the face. 2. A cricket ball and an elbow are not the same, what is the same is the area of the body where the pressure was applied. Ridiculous you say, yes l agree whilst disagreeing.
  18. I think it will be a minimum 3, possibly 4. Also, there was an horrific incident at the SCG a few years ago, different sport but similar area of the body.
  19. POINT of his elbow to a pressure point of the neck. Take your rose coloured glasses off.
  20. We have won 2 out of last 5, 4 out of last 8, our form is ordinary, with PA game an exception. Travelling to Darwin then returning for the Bulldogs is an ideal opportunity to make changes. No player should be selected because they ‘try hard’ ie Viney, Neal-Bullen, Vandenberg, everyone should be judged on their Net Worth to the team. The enormous gains made earlier will evaporate if we continue in our current form.
  21. Midfield needs a shake up plus injection of pace. In Harmes for Viney omitted In Sparrow for Jordon rested In Baker for Vandenberg omitted Move Salem in midfield for Brayshaw omitted In Bowey to cover Salem down back In Weideman for Jackson rested In Melksham for Neal-Bullen omitted Mcdonald to play High HF/wing Use Rivers through the midfield as well
  22. 6. Petracca 5. Salem 4. May 3. McDonald 2. Oliver 1. Gawn
  23. Tomlinson back to his previous/ Petty’s role, Petty to FB, May to Hibberd’s role, Releases May to a more attacking role.
  24. 6. May 5. Langdon 4. Lever 3. Salem 2. Brayshaw 1.Gawn
