  1. Quasimodo would have been More forthcoming at said enquiry rather than our ‘Emperor’. Actually, they could be out of the same litter.
  2. As Key Forwards, Brown, McDonald, VanRooyen, Gawn/Grundy all lack mobility and agility. Having any three in the starting set up is all too predictable to the opposition plus our midfielders are almost compelled to bomb it in long. We are also exposed defensively. Therefore, key forwards = J.Smith and either VanRooyen OR Brown. Grundy to ruck around the ground, Gawn to take the majority of the centre bounces then drop back a ‘kick behind the play’ which would be particularly helpful in D50, especially this week if Curnow, McKay and De Koning are all forward.
  3. Oscar Baker and Weideman have risen to another level now they are at a new club. Quite possibly they have renewed belief in their own ability due to the attitudes of their new coaches. Instead of being fixtures at VFL level they have been given the opportunity and are repaying that faith. Perhaps Simon Goodwin could broaden his outlook and consider backing in the likes of J. Smith, D. Turner, Schache, D. Smith, Moniz-Wakefield and Dunstan ( when available ) instead having blind faith in McDonald and Neal-Bullen who are all too often Net liabilites or anybody else who is consistently out of form.
  4. Gears, gears !
  5. But his ‘running ability’ is good 😆
  6. Abyssal replied to Redleg's topic in Melbourne Demons
I can’t recall any criticism of Umpires by TV commentators this year. Rarely see close-up vision of them nor are they referred to by name. Fair chance Fox and Seven are under instructions, negotiated as part of the rights.
  7. Thanks for letting all of us know. NOTICE to all Demonland Contributors, please be more considerate when expressing your opinion in case of NOT agreeing with rpfc.
  8. I think they think they have the competition covered, have gears, turn it on and off when they feel like it. Bart Cummings preparation, can’t win the Cup in August, peak on Melbourne Cup day.
  9. Expect She’s been calling George Grey ‘Sestan’ all game.
  10. Agree. One area of concern IMO, is we lack at least one good quality Midfielder in the 22. Harmes, at his best ( 2018 form ) fills the void perfectly. Harmes, at his worst, is a liability.
  11. Umpire No. 6 seems to be the problem. Daniel Johanson From WA, number of AFL games 40
  12. In a team that is bereft in pace and dash, it is disappointing they were happy to let him walk. Even more disappointing though, is they never played him in a attacking role on the WING opposite Langdon.
  13. The said tweet was clearly in regards to the deal of draft picks. You have taken the word “free” totally out of context. Kindly name one player who has played for “free” since 1990.
  14. I first saw the Demons in 1967 after barracking for them for the previous few years. Don’t question my loyalty based on ONE post which you appear to have read Out of context. My comment was about Bedford, Neal Bullen ,2022 not being as successful as 2021 and B&F’s not being an indicator of ultimate Team success. No where did I criticise Goodwin.
  15. Putting up a graphic of the B&F, is that the best you’ve got ? Strange argument, don’t all clubs have B&F’s ? , even Wooden spooners. No correlation with the eventual outcome of a teams season. Noting your numerous comments in other topics, you seem very content to sit on the laurels of 2021. If everyone had that attitude it will be another long wait of 57 years.
  16. 2021, So last year man 2022, more like
  17. Totally agree, but think of the upside we gained. :- ANB was able to rack up more of those all important and valuable ‘Pressure Act’ ranking points.
  18. Your “last reply”, Thank God. Your wish is my command YOUR LORD. Self proclaimed “LORD” Perhaps if I may respectfully suggest Your Lord, maybe you could consider just disagreeing with another opinion without the need to ridicule it. We both could have saved a couple of days of sparring. Good night, Good bye.
  19. Thanks for the info, I’ll check it out. I’ve been watching Orson interviews on YT in the last few days. TTM, my No.1, IMO it has 3 of the All time best scenes in film history, Harry coming out if the shadows is One of them, the final scene and the ferris wheel the others. re. Grundy, at first I was horrified but have come around to now think it’s the right move. Agree that we may have seen the best of Max and perhaps even the end may be sooner than anybody thinks, lets hope not. The concept of (a fit) Gawn/Grundy may even prove to be a master stroke particularly if used in tandem with Max rucking in the defensive half ( kick behind the ball ) where he has played some of his best footy (imo) and Grundy taking the centre square and a more traditional ruckman role. At the very least, it’s a major point of difference to all of our opposition.
  20. Fair enough, it’s just I can’t cop ANB.
  21. Nice spot, well done, not many would know of Harry these days. Are you a connoisseur of said movie ?
  22. Those nights you talk of , most likely wouldn’t be celebrating a recent premiership. Are you saying that it’s OK for players to continue the celebrating right through 2022 ? If so, would you still argue that would not have had an negative affect on the 2022 season ? So when is the honeymoon over and it’s time to return to work ( after a Premiership ) ?
  23. In Finance it’s known as Ponzi scheme.
  24. Very convenient for you to match Fritsch against Rohan instead of CAMERON.
