Maybe we need to drop out of the eight before we Goody decides to make wholesale changes. I wish Smith played forward years ago , playing back has resulted in several injuries. Getting dropped probably means that he will be delisted along with Harmes. Looks like we are going to play smaller thou slight . I expect us to lose . no Oliver no Melbourne.

Goody's previous post match speeches he seems always upbeat and quotes we can take something away from the loss.Simply we can't play out four quarters and the fact he is not a good coach. We possibly played too tall in the wet.We should have rested either Gawn or Grundy for either Jordan or Dunstan. Goody is not willing to bring in new players to replace out of form ones. In JVR, Schache ,Woey ,Dunstan ,Howes and Tomlinson or Turner Out Brown ,Smith ,Grundy ,Pickett ,Harmes and Melksham. The kicker here is to play May at ff and Tomlinson or Turner fb.

Does anyone out there think Farris W-K or Verrall will become (close will do ) the next Luke Jackson or will they go the way of our past project ruckman.

We don't seem to have enough quality mids, once we lose for example Oliver we seem to struggle , We did beat the pies and yes they were due for a loss. T.Mac was out for a long time last year and we suffered dearly. Tomlinson could via Casey be tried forward along with Turner. This year again we have no T.Mac however Petty may end up a good replacement. Schache could also be tried as a "swingman" in the reserves. We should try to turn Rivers into a midfielder earlier. Dropping an in form player in Tomlinson does not make sense , in fact it is dumb coaching and this not the first time Goody and co. have done. We also has an inability to play wet weather football. Too many problems to overcome.

We seem to have too many passengers at the moment. The Gawn /Grundy combo is failing .Small forwards have gone to sleep, Goody made big mistake in dropping Tomlinson,he could have used Petty up front. We should have tried Bowey up front in the reserves as we need to see if he can add another dimension. Howes hasn't been setting the house on fire for Casey however I would give him a go in the seniors. Kossie since hasn't shown any form since his extended contract, should be dropped. If we bring in B.Brown then we have to drop one of the following Gawn/Grundy/Smith at this stage I would rest Gawn.

Would like to see Bowey play forward, he is a smart footballer besides our flees don't seem to be kicking enough goals.

We seem to have to many "non forwards" in Jefferson,Seston and the Schack and possibly B.Brown. Schack and Tomlinson (after he has been dropped ) need to alternate between forward and defence as we need another younger version of T.Mac . I would run Jefferson on the ball this will improve his engine. Casey winning a flag is not important but development is. Fancy our non afl players are amongst our best, their is something wrong perhaps the coach needs to go along with other coaching staff.

In Brown,J.Smith,Hunter,Howes and Tomlinson Out McVee, T.Mac , JVR , Harmes Chandler. Hunter to play Oliver's role . Howes to play wing. J.Smith to play forward pocket never to play back as he seems to get constantly injured in defence. Brown to play forward and ruck . Gawndy experiment failing. Tomlinson defence. It is time for Goody to make wholesale changes. Lets forget about the below average form of the above average form of these players. Goody needs to send a message to his senior players that their performances are not up to scratch.

Would like to see J.Smith play forward pocket. So what if he has been out for so long he should be conditioned to play.Never play him as a defender as he generally gets injured. Ins J.Smith,BBB,Petty out Hibberd(rest),JVR(rest) and Schache (omitted).

He will go much earlier than pick 37 , probably late 20's . I think pick 37 will get bumped out.

Would like to see us get Keeler. Perhaps we swat pick 13 and pick 37 for two low 20's.

Would Jackson care if the Dees receive pick 13 and a future first rounder from Freo for his services. OR would Jackson feel that his value is far less than what it is really is. If West Coast trade their 2nd rounder then they would be out of the trade deal . Perhaps Jackson could put pressure on Freo (via Bell) by telling them if you want my services you have to ......... Jackson doesn't want to go into the footy trade pool. Perhaps he may consider staying.

Never again will i refer to a team as full of pensioners i.e Geelong . Anyone who suggest Grundy's age will be a problem is kidding themselves.

I would take a chance on an Irish "stab in the dark player". Imagine if you ended up with another Shaun Wright.

We might be able to get a second rounder for Bedford plus our 3Rd rounder. Whereby we wouldn't get anything for Chandler. That's not to say Chandler won't become a decent player.

Would like to see Rivers trained up as a mid.

The Dees were bad for so long , half decent players want success . Winning one flag doesn't change peoples perception of the club.We need to become a dynasty by winning flag after flag . Goody's inability to change or game style and players position i.e Petty forward after r11 and r12 losses to Freo and Swans. The club had plenty of time to find/manufacture another T.Mac via Casey.Jackson could have been tried as a wingwan, other clubs have worked us out. Rewarding Casey players was few and far between.

Goody wouldn't think about putting Salem to the wing , preference would be forward . If Jackson stays he should play wing. Schwarz became a winger and he was 196 cm tall. I think the re-signing of Brayshaw might have been a mistake as we have plenty of players like him , besides he would be good trade value . Sometimes you have to let good players go , the Hawks did it with Buddy and they won 3 premierships in a row.

If Jackson stays, I would like to see him play as a winger opposite side to Langdon. Schwarz ended up as a winger, he was 196 cm from memory. Perhaps Weid could become a ruck/forward type of player only if we don't get Grundy otherwise we should delist. Players who hold out on contact signing should be dropped. Petty needs to play as a forward next year along side JVR which includes T.Mac. Players who lose form need to be dropped no matter who they are ! Players doing well for Casey need to be rewarded not overlooked.

What ever the changes are , we need to find away to win matches on the MCG .

We should have blooded via Casey another T.Mac , we have several candidates . We stuffed around play the Weid as a forward for a long time only to find that he was a failure , couldn't understand why we re-signed him . Melksham selection was weird , he reached his use by date end of 2020. Jackson should have been dropped at the end of the season due to his lack of commitment to the club i.e not resigning . Goody has been or trying to ride on the success of 2021 , other clubs have worked us out . Winning 6 out the last 14 matches is not good coaching. Why didn't we play Dunstan, we seem to reward out of form players. I am so [censored] off with the Dees and especially Goody because he lack foresight/vision.

I cannot see us winning this time around against Brisbane . We another tall to forward to back up B.Brown. Some how the MCG has become a bogey ground for us and it is certainly one for Brisbane yet they would have learnt something from their past two encounters against us . We the the other hand lack flair , we have bottomed out , we are frighten to make decent changes to the team .

What does Dean Kent got do with Teams R23 team v Brisbane ? Get on the St.Kilda website you people . News report we are adding grunt to our team by including Harmes. Have I missed something we didn't need grunt because Harmes played for Casey !!!! This team is more vanilla than vanilla (poor comparison I suppose ) , we don't have any aces up or sleeve i.e Joel Smith or JVR . We will get done . Maybe we should offer Hird a an assistant coach position, actually Hird has more of a footy brain than Goody.

I think Grundy is still a good player , however we need to know if Jackson wants to leave. The Pies would need to prop up his wage. Then we will need to recruit a younger player for ruck/forward duties.
