The Weed has my 100 % support for tonight's match . However if he fails we need to eliminate him for good .

On paper we have a strong side yet we are struggling to kick winning scores. B.Brown would have to be counted as a failure to date however we don't seem to have anyone to replace him as far as Goody concern. Many other players that are also below par. Perhaps Jackson not signing has an affect on him and the rest of the team . I think the doggies will thrash us.

I would also go after Kemp as part of the Jackson trade. Of course it would have to be a three way trade.

Jarrod Waite started off as a full back for Carlton and ended up as a handy F.F for North. We know one of our defenders can play up forward. Tomlinson may be retained. On the part where Tomlinson played forward for GWS with tepid results means "jack Sh.t".

I really don't have any belief in our selectors , selecting Weidman and Melksham over and over again does my head in . Both players don't have good form the reserves, perhaps we mislead ourselves in thing we have good back up players . Being undefeated in the reserves actually means nothing. I am starting to get p.ssed off. Is it too early to drink at 11.32 am Friday 15 jul 2022 ?

I was under the impression that Rivers would be trained up as a midfielder . Luke Hodge ex Hawks become a midfielder and what a champion he was . We have plenty of small to large defenders . If we go out and get a quality mid then Petracca could play forward. The club is partially responsible for J.Smith lack of progression and that is due to his constant breakdowns . If I was him I would ask the selection panel to play himself up forward . starting in the reserves . Getting constantly injured playing back will suck the confidence out of him. Vin Waite played defence for Carlton and became a handy forward for North. Tomlinson and/or Howes need to become another version of T.Mac in other words a "swingman". As a club we lack player versatility.

If we play the Weid it should be a forward pocket position. Bedford goes out . Jvr comes in .B.Brown goes out . B.Laurie replaces Fitsch due to his selfish acts and lack of goals. If Oliver is out Dunstan gets his spot. Brayshaw plays wing again. Jordan is out. Rivers or Hunt plays defence. May or Petty could play forward which means Tomlinson would come in. Remember when Petty replaced Tomlinson most wanted Petty to get dropped. If that the case Bailey would get dropped.

Let's assume Jackson is gone . We will need another ruckman who is capable of kicking goals or another T.Mac. (younger version ). We need another champion midfielder. This will allow Petracca to play forward . Also Turner could replace Petty in defence. This would allow Petty to play forward . We may not have a regular spot for B.Brown . B.Howes could become the new T.Mac providing the club can make use of him ( in other words train him for the T.Mac role ) . We could probably get T.Walker for very little. Would be good for a couple of years. All seems too easy doesn't it?

Perhaps leaving the Dees led to his downfall. I understand why he left . As a club we gained more from the trade as per Hogan to Freo , May to demons was a win for us. I would take him back for 3Rd or 4th rounder but would have to prove himself in the reserves either as a forward or defender.

Tex Walker would be a good pick up especially in a good team . Recently he kick 6 goals in a AFL match. So far he is a better option than M.Brown,B.Brown and the Weid. Also think he would be a better pick up ( only slightly ) than Gunston. If Jackson goes we need to fast track another tall who could play Jackson's role. Fingers crossed the Weid could be that ruck rover role. Could Rosman or Turner become our new champion ruck rover ?

Not too sure that Majak is actually injured.Perhaps he is on some sort of training mission. Why wouldn't he be listed as injured on the Demon website.......... the sit is next to useless. Why have not trained players in the reserves to become "swingman" like Tom Mac. Tomlinson , Daw and J.Smith ( not so much defence due to too many injuries) should be constantly tried. Winning a flag is that important as to cover for T.Mac is very important . Perhaps Daw will get a call up.

Another thought is we could play Dunstan as a forward.

Totally agree with Mr Greywolf. I wonder if Jackson not wanting to sign is having an effect on the team !!!!!

Bayley is not going to play CHF , expect Petty to start there . Turner will be FB and Mitch or Ben will start on the bench . Dees to win by 56 pts.

When is the team selected ? Does anyone know ?

I believe Sam is lack confidence at the moment , perhaps the club and of himself has put too much pressure on himself. I would give him ( at Casey ) a lot more rucking time ( 70 % thereabouts ) and the rest of the time he could play in the forward or back pocket. If after 4 to 6 games does not improve then we say goodbye. Daw with less ruck duties he can play forward. Versatility is the key to success especially when T.Mac will be out for a long time and B.Brown not firing.

When Tomlinson took on the role of CHB we were doing o.k., when he got injured Petty took over. Some supporters wanted Petty to be dropped , fortunately our coaches stuck by him and he proves to be a success. Tomlinson needs to be given a chance to prove once again he will be able to hold down a defensive role . Having said this Petty can play forward and hence becomes our new "swingman". Mitch Brown and Hunt are dropped for May and Rivers. Another change is that B.Brown also gets the chop , Jackson becomes F.F and Weid ( Hate to say it ) or Daw comes in and get to play in the forward pocket which would take the pressure any of those two players. Daw would also get to play in the ruck. My previous selection changes were based on T.Mac being available.

in May , Petty forward , in T.Mac out Brown out other Brown. Possibly Daw could used forward and or ruck. Gawn could play forward or defence. out Hunt in Hibbard or Rivers.

Tex would be a better option than Weid . Could be a big help to Van Rooyen. Worth considering if the price is right.

Perhaps we could pick up Grey or Ellison from Casey . Can any other club pick any of those two players ?

Petty playing forward has merits, he has kicked goals before . J.Smith has had many setbacks when he plays in defence. Sam Weid. may become a good defender but needs to do this at Casey level.

Not sure if Langdon will be back, normally takes 3 weeks for ribs to heal . Salem probably given more time . Harmes likewise. Weid out . Tommo in . Mitch Brown in. May out.

It is a pity Sam has gone backwards. Perhaps he should be tried in a minor defensive role for Casey. We need another quality forward , I would have trialled Thommo or J.Smith up forward in the reserves . J.Smith probably only has this year to prove himself , he seams to get a lot of injuries playing defence . Another one of our problem is Langdon is out we tend to struggle on his wing . You can only trade players if they are under contract however however a team will be offered a draft pick (not the one they would like ).

Every team has to give up 3 senior players ( do not think a rookie counts) . Hibberd ( prob. becomes a rookie ) Melksham delisted Chandler traded , Weidman traded and Brayshaw traded ( a second rounder ) We need to have enough to pay for Jackson.
