  1. They have. Also, they’ve been doing one thing we haven’t. Putting teams away.
  2. I reckon the doggies could be firing all their bullets too soon. If I was a doggies fan i'd prefer to be turning in performances like this later in the season.
  3. Reckon bitters would bring out the deviant and degenerate vote. It’s a surprisingly large constituency I understand.
  4. He's being managed i reckon. Has more than held his own over the first 4 rounds.
  5. Tobby Greene is a sensational footballer. Great mark and goal. Grand stand finish here
  6. Ex crims who have realised the error of their ways often spend time trying to educate younger folk who are susceptible to crime to follow a different path. there is nothing unusual or remarkable about that. As i said he has to be genuinely remorseful not for being caught but for what he did. i have no idea whether he is or isn't sorry about that and neither do you. If he has spent the past few months educating himself then perhaps he does know now how women should be treated. Again i don't know. And i don't remember saying anything about his celebrity making him any more or less wise or knowledgeable. It's neither here nor there. An unknown bloke in the same position could speak to this issue just as well, better perhaps.
  7. If he is truly sorry and recognises the error of his ways then yes it would be worthwhile him speaking to other young men. He has seen both sides of the story so could speak with more authority. He does need to be genuinely remorseful though. It can't be part of some PR rehabilitation exercise.
  8. I did. We acknowledged each other and then both continued on with our shopping. Hopefully there's reason for a few more Dees guernseys to start to emerge. I've been wearing the scarf to work this week and have had a few acknowledgments.
  9. On the day we weren't good enough. Still glad the Crows didn't win today. They had home advantage and couldn't seal the deal.
  10. We would have beat the Crows at Casey in a prelim. We belted just a few weeks ago there. They got lucky with their draw. Simple really.
  11. Doggies sensational. Suns pathetic.
  12. Just back from the supermarket. Saw a Dees fan wearing the guernsey with pride as he’s doing the weekly shop. Great to see.
  13. Didn’t see the game but I’m happy Brisbane beat Adelaide in the womens final. The Crows got home finals because of a soft draw and got lucky playing us in the prelim when they did as we were exhausted from backing up against some strong teams for a few weeks straight. Brisbane had to play a few road games at the end of the H&A season due to the covid outbreak up there so they didn't have it easy. Well done to them. We beat both finalists so the future is bright, just need to find a KPF to help translate our possession and I50's into goals.
  14. I believe so although i'm no draft guru either. Better to move on the future first rounder in return for something of value now and next year package up a number later rubbish picks to be able to match the bid on daicos.
  15. I'm not confident either. Neither the Suns or Carlton have been at all convincing. More it would be a nice surprise to see our direct rivals lose a game.
  16. Hoping the Suns can ambush the doggies today. And i wouldn't mind seeing Port come unstuck either although the downside will be a week of the media pumping Carlton's tyres.
  17. I think its a one off due to the AFLW grand final which starts at 2pm. No mens games scheduled to avoid over-shadowing the womens big day. Fair enough i reckon. Any other other Saturday and i would agree with you.
  18. @Grapeviney suggest you use a sarcasm emoji in future. Irony/sarsasm goes straight over some posters heads.
  19. Injuries cruelled his career like many others. Very ordinary behaviour off-field so hopefully he has copped on to himself and can make a go of life post footy. It’s a poisoned chalice being No.1. Not sure I’d want my boy or girl to go at that selection. They’re just kids thrust into the spotlight and have the hopes and dreams of a whole fanbase projected onto them. I’d hate living in that fishbowl and under that kind of intense scrutiny. Really feel for Rowell in particular. Burst onto the scene looking the real deal, future brownlow and 300-gamer. 2 serious injuries back to back is a big worry. I really hope he has some luck, gets himself right and can play an extended period of footy.
  20. The pies haven't been terrible but are 1-4. They can forget about finals this year. Could the wheels come off from here? GWS must be rubbing their hands together with glee at the thoughts of where the pies first round pick will fall. Could be a Top 5 selection. Wish we held that pick.
  21. We've beaten all the teams put in front us. Comfortably. Can't do any more than that. I've no interest in talking us up but i don't want to talk us down either. Do you see any positive signs OD? Any changes in us compared to prior years? Anything that would suggest this group is different?
  22. It's the MFCSS. It's deeply embedded in our DNA / psyche. I reckon BB will play on Anzac eve which will give us a lift and our pressure game has been top notch. It'll be a battle against Richmond and a 50/50 call i reckon. No need to be fearful at all. Gotta focus on the Hawks game first mind.
  23. We're 4-0 and travelling nicely but let's not get ahead of ourselves. The Hawks are laying in wait to ambush us if our attitude isn't right on Sunday. Let's just focus on that game and worry about Richmond next week.
  24. Richmond are not setting the world alight. Very beatable imv. We can cover the May and Fritta injuries.
