The GF is an eternity away in Covid world. Delta can't be contained for too long so i'll be happy just to get the game played at all. If the Dees do manage to win it i'm sure we'll enjoy it just the same even if we can't attend. And get vaccinated people. It's our only pathway out this limbo.

Aren’t we better off having an oval that is different dimensions to the G seeing as we already have Casey? Practice on Gosch’s paddock before we play a smaller ground and Casey before we play the G. Better to have options I reckon
  3. I'd like to see Jones as well. I'm not sure if he's travelled though. Maybe next week v Adelaide
  4. I hope the teams MFCSS antennae are up as well. We have to assume that the eagles will come out all guns blazing. I would be disappointed if we allowed them to get the jump on us early. A slow start is not acceptable on Monday They’ve shown a very soft underbelly this year though so if we can withstand the early onslaught we should be ok.
  5. He's a monster. Practically untaggable. Leading the coaches votes. 2 x AA and another on the way this year Goal kicking was better v the suns. the only area of his game where he can improve. We're very lucky to have him (and signed up for another few seasons)
  6. True. Most club players would play both. And soccer in the winter. No more dual players at inter-county level anymore though. Too much of a time commitment plus management teams want them to commit to one or the other.

Hopefully the game can go ahead without a crowd. Big stroke of luck for us if it does A postponement would be a bad outcome

If it ain't broken don't fix it
  9. Jordon for Viney. Sparrow reprieved Hibbo for Salem if Christian isn't fit to play Would like to get a look at Jones before finals. didn't travel i understand so perhaps Adelaide. and would like to see Melks as well. His delivery is very good if only he could apply more pressure.
  10. Setanta O h'Ailpin was an inter-county hurler with Cork. Very good hurler he won all ireland titles at underage. Can't recall if he won a senior medal. I don't think any other Irish recruit to the AFL was a hurler A lot of hurling clubs sprung up in australia around 2008 with the exodus of Irish as a result of the recession. There are 5 hurling clubs in Melbourne now. The Galeic football standard was very good here at the time (a lot of excellent gaelic footballers came over) but hurling not so much. The Gaelic AustralAsian games were held here in Melbourne 2 years ago. Witnessed a game between WA and Victoria which was of a similar standard to senior club games back home. It was an excellent game. Club details are in the below link. There might be a team close to you that you can get along to watch https://www.australasiangaelicgames.com/our-clubs/
  11. inconclusive video evidence and no witness testimony from collins = shafted nibbler = shafted Wouldn't describe Fritsch verdict as bank robbery. Iirc it was deemed no case to answer (accidental contact) which was the correct call. But they did get the decision right so i'll give you that.
  12. The video was not conclusive. I believe this was acknowledged during the hearing
  13. 2 weeks. shafted at the tribunal. again
  14. Collins instigated the tussle with Viney. He should testify and help sort this mess out
  15. guilty as charged. on no evidence. what a joke gotta appeal this BS
  16. video evidence inconclusive and no evidence presented to confirm contact was with the throat. On what basis can the jury convict?
  17. I think this thread is suffering from a severe case of moral panic
  18. Every game is a danger game for us. That's just the way it is. Maybe next season we'll be mature enough to unconditionally turn up switched on for every game but we're not there yet. If we're not awake from the first bounce these down hill skiers will make us pay.
  19. Does Trac normally have his knee bandaged up like that? Can't say I've noticed it before
  20. I thoroughly dislike West Coast supporters. I will derive great pleasure and satisfaction if our boys can stick it to them next Monday They are the ultimate Jekyll and Hyde outfit. On their day they can be world beaters but equally liable to embarrass themselves. We need to be switched on from the get-go. If we bring the same heat as we did against the Suns I reckon they will fold.
  21. Hard to believe the last time we played was just before the shutters came down because of Covid. The game itself shouldn't have qualified as a competitive fixture. It was a weird eerie game from start to finish
  22. He's lucky to be alive thankfully he showed no ill effects and played out the rest of the game
  23. Never heard of anyone getting rubbed out for an incident like this and never heard of anyone being injured as a result of an incident like this. I’ll wait and see what kind of judgment the MRP passes down but I’m struggling to see why this should be anything other than a fine.
  24. Straight to the MRP is an overreaction. Holding someone down even if it is with the elbow to the side of the head is not striking and does not have the same impact.
