This game has Cairns vibes about it. No fluency, ball movement laboured and players looking lost for answers. I don't where the spark is going to come from. Port aren't much chop either so won't take much to beat them. Who will stand up for us? Maybe Viney can grab the game by the scruff of the neck and lead by example

Jack Viney is having a great year. I've no doubts about him at all today It's the foot soldiers who need to lift. Spargs, Sprarrow, Bedford must give us more. Nibbler hasn't been great either. We need May to get back to his towering best. Hope Tommo can slot in seamlessly. He was fantastic playing Petty's role before the knee injury last year I'm hoping against hope that Melks can find the ball and deliver some gold platter service to our forwards. If he improves our connection today he will have justified his selection. I'm not confident. Port are resurgent. Every remaining game a final for them if they want to make the 8. Just hoping for the win tbh. Any sort of a scrappy, ugly win will do Go Dees

McRae close to coach of the year. The pies won't keep winning close games but he is extracting the maximum from this team. They tackle and pressure as good as any, run both ways and they take the game on. I hope they flame out later in the year but you never know. They could well go deep into finals
