This is a fair point What i was trying to say (and perhaps not very well) is the grand final winning experience could be the difference. There are many factors that which will determine success or failure (they are being discussed ad nauseum on numerous other threads at the moment) But if it comes down to 1%ers our winning experience could be the difference. It won’t matter if we don’t play well like you say but in an even matched contest, knowing that we’ve done it before matters Geelongs’s finals experience over the past decade has been of ultimate failure despite high hopes and expectations. I wouldn’t like to be carrying that baggage. The Doggies have experience like you say but came up short because all the travelling during last years finals series caught up with them.
