They took all the trees, and put em in a tree museum
  2. BDA replied to Romey's topic in Melbourne Demons
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot
  3. He's a stager and quite dislikeable but Weightman should be higher in that list
  4. Most importantly We buried the Norm Smith curse. In Optus Stadium
  5. i hope the hangover isn't too bad today Cranky. You might want to consider a no posting on DL rule when drunk 😁
  6. The scary thing is WCW, we know you're not joking 😁
  7. I'm looking forward to reliving the experience and celebrating with the faithful in 29 days time. I'm so looking forward to heading into the city, proudly wearing my newest Dees merch, strutting along Swan Street.

You despise Pert and have had a few cracks at Bartlett along the way. You’ve implied some inside knowledge. A few posters have asked what you know and got crickets. Whats you're beef with Pert? What do you know that we don't? I reckon you've just got an over-active imagination
  9. In the big screen adaptation I’d have Tom Hanks as Goody. He’s plays the everyman role well (although he might be a little too old at this stage) Reckon Jason Momoa could play Maxy Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock play Stevie May Hugh Jackson as Rick Lever No idea after that
  10. Change the thread title to Sliding doors - Alternative MFC 2021 premiership team No way that team is winning a flag
  11. Nice succinct summary of his journey with us this year
  12. HArd to argue with the list. Petty maybe gets in ahead of Langdon. I know TMac's form tapered off in the second half of the year but we would have been stuffed if he didn't step up in the absence of BB and the Weid for the first half of these season. Very important contribution from Tom this year
  13. Go Go Gadget Arms Came good in the end. Just needed some time to find his groove
  14. We'll all miss the great man. Hope he returns in the future
  15. Max Gawn is the best captain in the AFL James Harmes delivered the most sumptuous inside 50 kick of the year (century?) to set up Fritsch and kick-start the revival Christian Petracca produced one of the all-time great Norm Smith performances Luke Jackson is going to be some footballer Jake Bowey thinks this s**ts easy
  16. Only available space left is on the roof! Next year maybe you'll get a flag or banner up there
  17. I reckon the win over the Tiges on Anzac eve in Rd 6 should be higher than 11. Huge game in terms of generating belief in our system and ability to execute on a big occasion at the G. We beat Richmond at their own game. They challenged hard early, we were wobbling, but we steadied and won convincing in the end. They couldn't live with our intensity. First time i really started to believe we were genuine contenders. I have a soft spot for our Rd 1 win v Gold Coast 2015. First time i enjoyed a game at the G for a long time. Beautiful Saturday afternoon. First time i had a seen us score a coast to coast goal in an age as well. A real thing of beauty from Dom Tyson
  18. I agree..............but i'm not tired of the second half against the Cats in Rd 23. The last passage of play starting with the the ridiculous insufficient intent call against Brayshaw and finishing with the mark and after the siren goal from Maxy WILL NEVER GET OLD
  19. We may regress due to injury next year. We may not be as hungry. Not sure what Burgos departure means. It is possible we won’t perform to the same level Far more likely imv is our unmatched, and genuine differentiator, ruck combo of Gawn and Dogga will torment the opposition. No other ruck can stay with Maxy around the ground and Dogga is a fourth midfielder for us at centre bounces. Where most teams don't have one decent ruckman we have 2 stars. They are an unbelievable weapon All the youngsters will improve. Kozzy has more levels. Bowey is a beauty. Petty, Rivers, Sparrow, Jordan will get better. BB has found his feet. TMAC is the only player who may be past their best. We have competition for spots which will keep everyone on their toes. In terms of other teams I think the Swans are a genuine threat. Real talent on their list and very well coached. GWS if they can stay injury free (Big if). Doggies have genuine mental scars to deal with after the mauling they copped from us. Great midfield but no ruck, and very suspect defensively Tiges might have one last hoorah in them We’ll be favourites for the Flag and rightfully so. Yes teams will hunt us. That’s a given. But we can match anyone’s grunt and intensity. I reckon the only team that can beat Melbourne next year is Melbourne. But if motivation is needed to ward off any hint of complacency then we should remind them that they haven’t won a flag in front of the faithful at the G. I can’t think of a better motivator for this group than lifting the cup at the home of footy with all the fans there to enjoy and celebrate with. It was the only missing piece in any otherwise dream season for us this year I’ll think I’ll head to the bookies now and put my money on the Dees.
  20. Jared Polec is a great idea. Why not. While we’re at it we should ask Jonathan Patton if he’s interested in resuming his footy career with us as well.
  21. Her insights are top-notch, she obviously understands the game but we don;t know if she'll be a good coach yet. Eventually a woman will break through and coach a mens team and I would love if it was Daisy
  22. And i've down voted him. I've updated Daisy. She's should be Top 5 easily. Should be there instead of Robbo
  23. How the f**k does Dermie make 29 on that that list. How does he make the list at all. He's the worst footy pundit EVER.
