  2. That is truly awful
  3. As selfish and as melodramatic as this sounds but I almost cried when Elliott kicked that goal at the 20 minute mark in the 3rd quarter yesterday. I honestly thought I am never going to see Melbourne win a premiership in person. Last year still doesn't feel real because it was on TV. For what it's worth, I predict we will make the 8 but we will go out in straight sets. Unfortunately this year the curse seems to be hanging over us again and we are not handling and absorbing the pressure in big games, unlike last year. Hope I am wrong

And always thought Kevin Caton (Eagles 88) looked like the Fine Young Cannibals lead singer

Yes, some commentators in the media also comparing us now to Richmond 2018: https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/04/11/be-very-afraid-unbeaten-demons-have-huge-scope-for-improvement/ Can we hope of matching our club record of 7 consecutive GFs instead?!
  10. Can't believe no mention whatsoever of Burgess or Taylor or Mahoney. And a one second reference of Peter Jackson. Those guys were pivotal in our rebuild and getting us to where we are today, in my opinion
  11. Hope so. But maybe his knee is stuffed
  12. Damn, couldn't see the picture of the naked lady on his wall again

Going to be interesting next year when we go to the footy, expecting them to win all the time! Strange times ahead

Heaven knows we have all wavered over the years here on Demonland but most media "experts" are particularly whimsical and inconsistent with their predictions. Take the guy who presented the cup for example: https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-2019-melbourne-great-garry-lyon-labels-demons-2018-season-an-aberration/news-story/11adfe12baf08bd32ec2849f34f483fd

Lucky Collingwood didn't win. Can't imagine their premiership knife range would look like this: https://shop.melbournefc.com.au/premiers/accessories/custom-chef
  18. Yes, snake: "Melbourne marketing manager and furniture retailer Bill Guest acknowledged at the weekend that up to 60 of his staff had submitted proxy votes supporting the merger" https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/from-the-archives-1996-rival-factions-clash-over-demons-hawks-merger-20190913-p52r1o.html
  19. Or all on RED!
  20. Allen Jakovich
  21. Paint my truck red and blue and splash MFC advertising all over it. Personally though, I would cry for Robbie.
  22. And in search of the glittering prize:
  23. Yes, the errant elbow (causing damage) is perfectly fine these days. Dangerfield, Hawkins, Hipwood, etc.
  24. Surprise, surprise. Got off with just a $600 fine for his offence: "The lawyer told the court Mr Watts was not paying attention while driving. He said his client initially stopped the vehicle and saw nobody was injured before he “panicked” and drove off....The court heard he then turned himself into police at the Holden Hill police station the following day.....The magistrate said the fact Mr Watts reported the incident to police the following day and contacted the vehicle's owner was the reason for the lesser sentence." No doubt the cops didn't drug test him the following day either.

Is that all? In the meantime, Geelong get $40m from the Government and Bulldogs get $36m. What a joke.
