  1. If Weeds is definitely in then this is the first opportunity we'll have to see the tall forward set up that was planned prior to the T-Mac resurrection.
  2. Thanks for the reply DEE fence. It looks like you were right about others on the site having an interest in what you do, which sounds both exciting and immensely rewarding. I've always thought Sudan (or is it The Sudan?) to be an interesting place and I'll be sure to PM you to find out first hand about what's really happening when it comes up in the news. Lake Nasser just over the border is as close as I've been to the place.
  3. I think I'll wind down for the night now Megatron. This game in the west is giving me nothing to work with. Good luck in the NFC North this year btw.
  4. Schache & Bruce both injured or is someone here joshing?
  5. Brisbane have the chance to sew up a home final in Melbourne.
  6. They'll have to move Schache up there where he's even worse than as a defender.
  7. By the quirk of the draw we're going to see two weeks of qualifying finals between the top four sides with a weeks rest between them.
  8. Now that we've been presented with the killer script lets hope we don't fluff our lines tomorrow night.
  9. Unbelievable. Dogs need 5 goals in 8 minutes. We better not stuff up tomorrow night.
  10. I hope I'm wrong of course but I sense the dogs will roll over the top of them in the final term. Not that I'm worried in the context of us playing them. Keith is already gone and it's just a matter of time before Schache turns back into...well, Schache. There's already signs today of the real Josh Bruce showing through the thin veneer of invincibility they coated him with pre-season.
  11. Irrespective of what Walker himself decides to do about next year his club have already made the decision to keep him on for 2022 judging by the six week ban handed down. You'd think if they has any intention of ripping up his contract they'd already have done it. It'll be interesting to see if on the back of that whether any of their current indigenous players seek a move away or if it makes bringing in players more difficult. If nothing else at least they didn't hold a presser to announce it being a proud day for the Adelaide Football Club.
  12. Carlton have all the presence of a wet lettuce leaf. Teague must stay.
  13. This might end up being a moot point but I seem to remember receiving an email (or it could have been a letter I guess) that I received sometime last season as a category 1 Tridents member that in recognition of 'donating' my membership payment for 2020 should we play finals in 2021 the first one would be free. Does anyone else remember receiving something like this because for the life of me I can't find it anywhere.
  14. Hi DEE Fence. What are you doing over in Sudan if you don’t mind me asking and what’s it like being there? I’ve always fancied going out to see those pyramids at Meroe. Does that old railway still run between Wadi Halfa and Khartoum?
  15. I reckon 10 years of playing in front of nobody is paying off now for GWS. They thrive in empty stadiums.
  16. Just tuned into this game. Giants need one more goal I reckon.
  17. I'm not against there being a side in Tasmania but every time I've been down there for a game the place has been a ghost town on the Sunday and you can't get a decent pub that opens before 4pm. Then again AFL footballers probably have different motivations.
  18. I wonder if they're related to Rob Sitch who is also a Melbourne supporter.
  19. Without any breakdown these number tell very little. For all we know the 25,000 civil servants working in Canberra all get 2 game Giants memberships as part of their salary package.
  20. It all sounds very promising. Maybe we can make some extra money by offering up the naming rights. Grolsch's Paddock? With the Cherry Tree just a five minute walk away in Cremorne I'm not fussed about whether there's a social club included. As for the extension of AAMI Park I'm glad to hear it. We need it to host big international matches. Nothing looks more amateurish than plonking a football pitch in the middle of a huge footy oval.
  21. I might be the only person on here that doesn't mind the Dockers retro guernsey, if only for addition of the green. And that's from a Rangers supporter! They should really think about adding a bit of green to their current home and away guernseys. Their white away one is particularly bland and soulless.
  22. VA metal flying into OOL. That's travel industry parlance if ever I heard it. Where in the business do / did you work Superunknown? I think the original plan was to refuel, take meals onboard and change the flight crew for a flight to Perth and logistically this was easier to do in BNE.
