Irrespective of what Walker himself decides to do about next year his club have already made the decision to keep him on for 2022 judging by the six week ban handed down. You'd think if they has any intention of ripping up his contract they'd already have done it. It'll be interesting to see if on the back of that whether any of their current indigenous players seek a move away or if it makes bringing in players more difficult. This might end up being a moot point but I seem to remember receiving an email (or it could have been a letter I guess) that I received sometime last season as a category 1 Tridents member that in recognition of 'donating' my membership payment for 2020 should we play finals in 2021 the first one would be free. I'm not against there being a side in Tasmania but every time I've been down there for a game the place has been a ghost town on the Sunday and you can't get a decent pub that opens before 4pm. Then again AFL footballers probably have different motivations.
