That game was brutal. Adelaide are a tough side but we had their measure for much of the night. Eliza West has the build of Brian Wilson and plays a lot like him too. Liv Purcell and her were terrific in the middle.

Maybe the club decided on the 10 ticket option after reading the DL thread with the myriad of reasons why it's not practical or convenient for members to go to Friday night games.

Yup BA. We chose category 1 pricing however so don't know if that makes a difference. We're in the bay next to our regular home game seats in the Olympic Stand.

It felt to me that we had so much more of the ball last night and it should never have been as close as it was. If Carlton play finals it'll be because the Dogs lose against Hawthorn next week. Gus was really good again and Melky is having an indian summer. We probably need to bring the same four quarter intensity that got us the W against Brisbane and Fremantle recently in all of our remaining four games but I just don't know if we're capable of that consistency right now.

Although I'd be happy to see them weighed down with the albatross that is his contract for the next 5 years it's more likely that they'll be picking up a fair bit of the tab to move him on if they can. On that basis it make sense to at least have the conversation I guess but would taking on all of his remaining 5 years be a non negotiable from his perspective or would he be happy to compromise if it gets him out of Mordor?

It’s a horrible experience watching a live game against that lot. Somebody in this thread said it was like being in a zoo and they are spot on. Some of them even got into the Tridents area and started baiting people when they started to close the gap on the scoreboard. They are the Millwall of Australian Rules Football.

As this thread seems to have branched out into words / terms not exclusively used on DL I'd like to know how the hell people over here decided that the surname Strachan should be pronounced as Strawn. Also the Elgin Hotel in Hawthorn should be pronounced with a hard 'g' . I grew up 50 miles from the town Elgin. Lord Elgin was the guy that pilfered the Greek sculptures known today as the Elgin Marbles.

I'm just glad I'll be hermetically sealed on level 2 of the Northern Stand in a Tridents only area so no chance of coming into contact with the puddle drinkers in black & white. QB was a nightmare.

I like green being incorporated into their guernseys but they need to ditch the anchor logo. Mint green would be more contemporary and would look good combined with purple and white.
