Having read everything to date I think it's not unreasonable to come to the conclusion that had another team offered us appropriate compensation then Clarry would be out the door. All this reminds me when we off-loaded Gazza (Paul Gascoigne) half way through a season that would have been a record breaking 10 league titles in a row, mainly due to his drinking problems and constant erratic behaviour. Middlesbrough offered us £3 million quid for him which we couldn’t say no to. Incredible talent though so I get why our club are in such a bind about what we should do.

I watched this last night and came away thinking that outwith any personal issues he might have he’s a down to earth humble guy. Something pretty spectacular must have happened or come to light in the last week for him to be touring oppo players farms.

It's not very often we get a GF where I don't despise at least one of the competing sides so I'm just going to kick back and enjoy what I hope is a tight game right to the end. It's comforting to know however that it will definitely end in tears for one of Papley or Zorko.

Got the email today. $870 for a Tridents season ticket including away games in Melbourne & GFG. Last year $810 including GA entry to 5 away games. To have a firm price this early suggests the club know how many away games we'll have in Melbourne next year and therefore what the fixture will look like.

It's a win win. We either get to see Papley or Zorko collect a runners up medal.

Each side should have their own GF parade. One down Clarendon St and the other down Brunswick St, meeting in the city centre.

I'd be happier if it actually was South Melbourne v Fitzroy.
