  1. Waiting for the announcement of $5 one game "memberships" to get us to our 75,000 target.
  2. I thought professional boxing was all fixed, like professional wrestling. Maybe she'll be scripted to make a glorious comeback in the rematch.
  3. So no choice at all really then dazzle. Was always coming to the Dees with those options.
  4. Dunstan was disillusioned and heading out of the AFL system before we came calling apparently so no guarantee he would have ended up at any other club. Disappointed for BB as he's one of my faves. Great human being too. If he's dropped on form rather than injury this late in the season though I fear for his chances of returning. Worried that we're getting a little thin through the middle of the ground now with Spaz out with a sore calf.
  5. Whatever they lack in chromosomes they make up for in blind optimism. Bless.
  6. Come September it won't matter a jot how much we beat Adelaide or lost to GWS by or that Collingwood ran over the top of Carlton, Essendon & St Kilda because none of them will be there. It'll be the same four teams that currently fill the top four positions pitted against each other, winner takes all.
  7. One of those games where you keep feeling were one goal away from putting the game out of reach then end up having to save it. Perhaps in Joel Smith we've found our David Fairclough.
  8. I'm taking more of a philosophical view on this subject as I can't decide who the lesser of three evils are to play or avoid. Given the opportunity however I'd prefer not to be in close proximity to Collingwood's putrid fan base again this year.
  9. Cats bossed the last 5 minutes and could easily have won if their inside 50 entries had been better. Nothing to do with Bears learning from last week despite it making a good narrative.
  10. Bears gonna [censored] the bed again.
  11. BG seems to have a long torso but shorter legs which could be the reason he’s so good at ground level. Huge unit though. Seems to cover the ground relatively quickly for a big guy too.
  12. LOL. Phenomenal. What on earth was that? The tune is familiar.
  13. First time visitor to Coburg’s ground to see BG’s Casey debut. I wonder if he’ll get a Gatorade shower if we win?
  14. How gorgeous are the Ionian islands M_9? One of my favourite holidays was a fortnight hopping around Lefkada, Kefalonia and Ithaka in autumn. You can keep the 40 degree heat though!
  15. Surprised to see Weeds dropped. Haven't their selectors seen the tape of his 2018 finals series.
  16. For anyone suggesting it will be an MCG blockbuster with an 80,000 crowd it's just as likely to be GWS v Gold Coast in front of two people and a dog*. *if they trial this garbage I so hope it is.
  17. Can we just cut to the end game in all this where we've got some C list Yank singing Star Spangled Banner at the Grand Final. If they really want to fill a pre finals void then why not make it a 24 game home & away season. Even better do away with the mid season bye and make it a 25 game season.
  18. BG agreed to come to the club with a specific role in mind, part of which included playing forward of the ball. He hasn’t being playing that role to the level required so has been replaced in the side and will now work at improving that part of his game at VFL level. What’s the big deal? I don’t think anyone at the club has said that Max needs to ruck 80% game time if Brodie plays. Media created that narrative so that they can extrapolate it into other threads of conjecture, hyperbole and misinformation.
  19. Only if we can give all of the teams not good enough to win 10 of their 23 games and qualify for finals through a playoff a certificate of participation in the AFL season.
  20. With a train station right next to the ground and a $9.40 return V-Line ticket price I'd argue it's probably easier to get to GMHBA than Casey Fields. Although I acknowledge the start time is a bit odd.
  21. I get the feeling the Fable Singers might have been running out of ideas or studio time by the time they got around to writing / recording the songs for Hawthorn, St Kilda, Geelong. Hawthorn's is the lamest. I mean, We're a Happy Team at Hawthorn?? Carlton's is enough to send you to sleep.
  22. The Crows tune is the exact same as The Sash (My Father Wore) that many Rangers supporters (and ardent unionists in the Orange Order) sing. I do think ours is the best but also like North Melbourne's and the banjo in Sydney's.
  23. A mate & I have booked space at a hotel up the hill in North Hobart. There's some nice restaurants, bars & cafes up there as opposed to all the tourist traps down around the docks. For anyone at a loose end on the Saturday Glenorchy play North Hobart (Magpies v Demons) at 1pm at the King George V Oval.
