  1. Thanks for looking out for me WCW. Luckily my place is almost equidistant to Ardeer station so I can catch a Ballarat V-Line train into Southern X and hopefully get the last one at night back again. Alas this means no post game drinkypoos.

I wonder when they're going to stop counting the number of showdowns they're currently up to?
  3. And have an instant inner city training facility right in the heart of the new Arden precinct.

I think when we last played in Hobart they played each other on the Saturday at Marvel and Essendon goaled in the final seconds to win by 1 point. I remember walking past a pub and stopped to watch the last two minutes when I saw the coasters were leading.

Two Queensland teams. You'd be lucky if 20,000 people in the whole country GAF. 5,000 of whom support a team that hasn't existed for nearly 30 years.

The Hawthorn crowds must finally be dropping off as you can hear the fake bird noise on the tv broadcast which I always hear at our home games.
  7. Hi loges. It's a subject we have to skirt around obviously. The thread isn't even about JS. I'm alluding to alleged text messages that may or may not have sent. Best we move on from this topic lest it be closed down.
  8. Considering that there are allegedly others implicated in this investigation perhaps it's no bad thing it has been delayed.

Hmmm...you may well be right on that WWSW. I've never taken any notice of the logos or ads that are painted on the ground. I guess it makes sense for the AFL to milk it for all they are worth.

It's not as if it's called the Anzac Round. A few sides don't even appear to be wearing Anzac related guernseys.

Sounds like a Carlton home game when they score. Surely Geelong would be better to bank a cool $1 mill playing at KP and restricting the opposition to 150 tickets.

They've effectively been selling a home game to Collingwood for the last 30 years.

Thanks DJ. If they still need to break 70k just to make the same amount of money as a game at KP it explains why the would always nominate the likes of Collingwood and Carlton to play against I guess. I'd still prefer to have an actual home ground advantage though.

If Geelong are allegedly making over $1 million dollars a game at KP does anyone know why they are still playing home games at the MCG instead of 11 games at home?

    Darcy Byrne-Jones and The Scousers.

This game is almost as unwatchable as the first half of our game on Wednesday night.
  17. Rab D Nesbitt replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Exactly, just flip the current script. They can play Collingwood, Carlton and Richmond up there so the place looks half full for tv.

    The Canberra Sun Giants 😆

It would make more sense than Darwin but they've just mentioned on the broadcast that there are 6,000 GWS members in Canberra so it might be easier to grow that figure than ask the locals to switch teams.

Still, if this game was played in western Sydney tonight they'd be lucky to get 4,000 people through the turnstiles. It would be great for a national competition to have Canberra join Tasmania in the competition.

Considering the good crowds they are getting in the nation's capital I wonder if it's worth moving the Giants down there full-time. Canberra Giants also sounds so much better that Greater Western Sydney.

If it's not unreasonable to think that 16 wins will be required to finish top 4 then if the Bears lose tonight they could only afford to drop 2 of their next 16 games and Collingwood 3 games.
  23. If Shai Bolton got injured Richmond would well finish 18th this year.
  24. Is Eileen Cannon the judge in Marlion Pickett's court case?
