So apparently Kane Cornes nearly “drove off the road” when he heard kingy say that we’d back our system in against st kilda and nas and not get too caught up in tagging. (Which imo I think is just kingy not showing his hand as he seems like an adaptable coach who can respond to issues on game day as they arise). Firstly, is Cornes expectation that coaching tactics are an open forum for everyone to hear and understand? Also, surely opposition supporters are also getting tired of Kane’s Melbourne inquisition. I don’t think running us into the ground is still selling papers like it did for the last two years.

At worst he will be back round9/10 and from the reports it sounds like his rehab is going well and will have him back sooner than that. What is the basis for the contention that missing early rounds precludes him from recapturing last years form?

Rename it "most disposals for the season award" now. All but confirms that only a midfielder can win the award.

Our midfield has been incredibly one paced for many of the Goodwin years, which was not in itself always problematic but three midfield bulls doesn't seem to be what the game requires anymore. We've now got Steele who ticks the contested possession beast box, we have the dynamism of kozzy and then the third is a suprise packet. Rivers, Culley, Langford, Windsor and even the much maligned sparrow (whose best footy is played in the middle and not in some pseudo high half forward role he was shoehorned into), are all incredibly exciting prospects. We should not quickly forget that we still have the best ruckman in the game. I'm not contending that we will win every centre clearance for the whole year but i think we've got a lot more to be excited about than it might seem.

In a similar vein to Bowzer's rise last season, i was hoping Culley would emulate that success this year. Absolutely tragic if its a serious injury but fingers crossed its minor.

My only concern is that all of his powers come from his backwards cap. Can we apply to the league to allow him to wear a cap in games???

Greeves and HH seem to have slid a fair bit, Not that it deserves too much stock in it but I saw a phantom draft by the true footy podcast that had us taking HH potentially at 12.
