PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Port Adelaide
Graeme Yeats' Mullet replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nice read Nothing really new in terms of details just a positive spin on the well known facts If this angle has been influenced by internal forces then kudos indeed, but perhaps it's just Barrett's reflection on a team with backs against the wall, a questionable loss to clearly good team, and then coming out and belting two hopeful teams as we rightly should! -
Really interested to hear from tribunal: What should Wright have done differently? When in the sequence should he have made that decision to act differently? And how long did he have to act? What is a reasonable penalty for failing to make that choice? The more I watch, the more I feel there was so little time for Wright to act differently? While similar argument on Maynards was made, this is different from Maynard incident, IMO, as the act of lead-up running at the ball is so normal (Maynard attempted a very abnormal ambitious leap into a smother when Brayshaw was clearly going to have kicked the ball). And both Wright and Cunningham reached ball almost at the same instant, and Cunningham was approaching running diagonal to ball flight and Wright EDIT - didn't expect Guilty plea to all aspects of the charge...

Your Least Favourite AFL Team (Poll)

No need for Preference voting! -
No way is it worse than SPP Wright, Cunningham and the Ball all arrived at the same time. SPP hit a player who had clean possession of the ball, then got tackled and spun by another Port player, SPP arrived 3rd with a high bump instead of a tackle

Agree He was legitimately well positioned (and very almost timed) to take a chest mark, he was running in a straight line at the direction of the ball that was kicked to him as the leading target Cunningham was running on a backwards diagonal, which was courageous and a legitimate play but significantly contributed to timing and impact of contact Both player make decisions in real time. Ump called play on in real time...

Yep, doing nothing for our depth players being a part of this standard 💩

Goody said Tommo would play tomorrow when questioned on backups for May/Lever Hopefully they pull him after half the game, unnecessary risk and a Saturday/Thursday turnaround for next 2 weeks

Yep He looked.like a bloke desperately in need of a rub down... 💆♂️

Runs like a busted... Is that just his style, or is he really cooked? Does not look like a bloke enjoying being out there That said, made a few good contests late... to my surprise

He has reached a new level A few years back many thought he was fringe. He barely played 2016 and missed a big chunk of 2020 (partly due to being a sacrificial lamb to AFL on sling tackle) and I think was then a year behind Tracc on development into their best Now he's got 150 under the belt he's just continuing to improve, uses his work rate and now his disposal is elite 24 at 75% with 23 PA Loving it ❤️ 💙
