  1. If true, then we'll just have to come up with another excuse.
  2. Can someone please inform me of when Joel Smith did his finger? Was he playing last Monday and dislocated it, or did he do it at some other training session? Not sure where or when I read it, but i think they said he would be out for three weeks. If he did it last Monday, then I think "test" would be the wrong description for him in the above table.
  3. Following the very poor showing yesterday, I'd like to send TMac, Spargo, Baker, AVB, Harmes, Tomlinson, Jetta, Jones, Jordon, Sparrow and Bedford back to the VFL next weekend to try and earn themselves a spot for Round 1. Chock certainly has his hands full improving the skills of this lot. However, given that it is likely that all of Viney, BB, Weid, Hibberd and Melksham will be out for Round 1, some of the above will get call ups, but hopefully only based on performance. My team would be: Rivers May Lever Hunt Petty Salem Langdon Petracca Tomlinson Pickett MBrown Fritsch Chandler TMac Jackson Gawn Brayshaw Oliver INT: ANB Jones Bowey Harmes. To me, Petty has to come in, and therefore, until we have a better option (which I don't think will be any time this year) I'd move Tomlinson onto the wing - its what we bought him for and he is the model we based getting Rosman on. Given the lack of form of our injury free key forwards, I think we need to entrust Mitch Brown to the CHF role for now, and put TMac back to FF where I think he played his best footy back in 2018. That should also free up Jackson from having the best defenders on him (at least initially). When it came to picking the interchange players, I found I couldn't find one player that would make the best 22 in virtually any other AFL team. I may have forgotten someone but the lack of depth really concerns me. When we get back our injured players, these guys will struggle to make the bench IMO, unless they dramatically improve their skills and their form. That's a bit harsh on Bowey, who I think will become a player. he certainly has the disposal skills we so desperately need.
  4. I think we won't lose a game till we play Freo.
  5. Imagine a convoy of range rovers linked end to end.
  6. Trying to make sense of all of the above, and particularly Max's comments, please let me know if i have this wrong: If we zip the lips Park the ego trips, Listen to our leadership, Then at our fingertips Are multiple premierships.
  7. I wouldn't be so hot-to-trot on that bet if i were you Bombay, 'cause you know as sure as [censored] that if you do place that bet that the only game that North will win will be against us! So turn on the aircon and cool your jets.
  8. some people obviously enjoy hitting their heads against a brick wall.
  9. You've completely lost me mate. Try again
  10. First post and already complaining! Haha you’ll fit in just fine here. Welcome NightWalker.
  11. It’s Clary’s 100 game. Both he and we deserve to celebrate that milestone at the G. FO Essendon.
  12. Do you? Given that so many on here were ready to label him the second coming based on absolutely no exposed form, why would you find it funny that people are jumping off the bandwagon after actually seeing him play? while I hope he does become a decent player one day - it just ain’t today. As others have stated, he looks a long way off it at this point in time.
  13. While my father played for the swans, it was only because of the inspirational Ronald Dale Barassi that I started following the Dees. You bast ard Ron!
  14. We have a great Mod called Andy, Code of Conduct his Modus Operandi But often with words, The lines get blurred, When they do, he's our vigilant vigilante.
  15. I heard he followed Oscar to Carlton.
  16. I agree Demonstone, why do we need a whipping boy! We already have a coach!
  17. Unfortunately I jinxed the ladies. New headline: ”Deadeye Dogs Devour Dodgy Dees”
  18. Good luck today ladies. By the end of the day, I hope to see the following headline: ”Devastating Demons Destroy Disappointing Dogs”
  19. Sad i know, but any win will do me.
  20. One key element of any successful business 58er is communication. The club should be communicating to its members - not the other way around! They want our money, yet treat us with disrespect. Just not professional enough in my view, and must improve.
  21. Interesting that Max - on his and Gus's podcast - went to great lengths to talk up Deakyn Smith - "he can really play" - with what sounded like a plea to have him drafted. But not one word about Kobe though. Perhaps we DLanders have been hyping the wrong player (?)
  22. I think one consequence of this rule change will be that, with the man on the mark anchored, it may well be so much easier to determine when the player with the ball moves off his mark, and hence many more play ons will be called, as opposed to 50m penalties imposed.
  23. My god. It’s like looking in a mirror.
  24. Of course they did Old Dee. Haha. I would never have guessed you’d think the worst in this situation.
  25. With the greatest respect Old Dee, can I ask why your posts are always so negative? (And I don’t want to hear about the last dreadful 56 years again!) I love DL - I can always get some facts, a lot of BS, and some laughs - all of which I enjoy. I even enjoy the kooks on here. But when every post from a lovely old man is always so negative, it’s such a downer.(and I have no wish to turn you off - just want more “up-beatness” In your tone). just once I’d luv to hear you say something positive. And that does not include you saying that you’re positive that you are a pessimist!
