  1. Decades of being mostly [censored]? My family did that to me so good that it'll happen to someone else.
  2. Kozzie lucky to get 2. Could have been 3. Dangerous action but his body language indicated he knew straight away he had stuffed up. Buddy only gets 1 due to the unwritten 'do not disadvantage Sydney Swans' philosophy. Refer Barry Hall in a Grand Final precedent.
  3. Richmond excuses from various sources 1. Melbourne going full pace - Richmond in second gear 2. Melbourne know Casey better than Richmond 3. It's Melbourne's Grand Final (WTF?) 4. Melbourne full strength - Richmond had outs 5. Melbourne looked more tired by the final siren 6. Umpires crucified Richmond 7. TV commentary biased against Richmond
  4. 1. 2021 GF 2. Round 22, 1987 3. Prelim v Carlton 1988 4. Elim v North, 1987 5. Semi v Swans, 1987
  5. I was in the Northern Stand Punt Road end about where the 50 metre line is today. Can't recall if they had a 50 line back then. Do remember taping the reply. Geoff Leek was calling when Gerard Healy kicked (in hindsight) a ripper goal for the Swans out of the middle. Took a few bounces and one of the bounces didn't quite come back. Leek said 'He bounced it on a cow pat'.
  6. If you are in Thailand, ABC Overseas show all AFL games on FTA if your lodgings can pick up that channel. If in Pattaya, go to Tree Town area and Danny's Sports Bar. Plenty of big screens with cold beer and Danny is a good bloke.
  7. 1976 Karma. We had to beat Collingwood last game and rely on Carlton (top of ladder and hot favourites) to beat the Dogs and we would make finals. We got the job done on Collingwood, but Carlton Drew with the Dogs so we missed out. At the time, I took solace in that we cemented Collingwoods first wooden spoon. Carlton finished top and went out in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. So what happened to them past 2 weeks is somewhat satisfying. Although, I suppose would've been nice having Collingwood play Richmond in an Elim and knock one of them out.
  8. I know someone in his family, and was told he loves the Dees. OK, that was some years back when still playing for us, but do you think these days Brereton supports Hawthorn or Collingwood when they play. Same situation.
  9. Perhaps a reference for De Gooey? Peeking (sic) Duck
  10. Lets get his brother across
  11. We do have our flogs. But on a per capita basis suspect a lot less than most other teams. Think it's cause we were down the bottom for so long, we are now just enjoying the ride. 5 year window to make the most of it.
  12. Tassie needs to be a start up club wearing maybe Green & Yellow with a Tasi Devil as it's motto. A Tasi tiger motto would be good as well, even if to just infuriate Richmond supporters. But a Devil would be one of the most iconic mascots in the league, especially if Looney Toons gave them the rights to use Taz. North may have to move to Canberra. Or fold which would be a shame but this league is dog eat dog and better them then us.
  13. Was looking forward to this game a fortnight ago. A bit has changed since then. Still, we need to remain composed, respect the opposition and continue do what we've been doing the past 17 games. Freo are a half decent team who will get their mojo back at some point. They have Brisbane after us.
  14. I took this snap to stir someone last season. Suppose a few of these were 9 on the trot as opposed to 9-0
  15. I recall a game against the Weagles maybe 10 years ago. Was a Thursday night clash. We were getting flogged, which was expected, but the free kicks at half time was 20-0. We got the first free of the second half which was obvious and the whole of Subiaco booed. Cup cakes.
  16. I think we be on cruise control for a comfy 40-60 point win. No point going flat out at this stage of the year. Try a couple of different tactics where we can. Would prefer to be playing Freo over there for a real test.
  17. Someone gag Robbo.
  18. New jumper looks too busy for mine, but perhaps we can get frees for frontal contact. The proof is on the jumper.
  19. I never thought I would ever say this, about another side, but this Eagles team looks worse than us in our Neeld nadir
  20. Danger game in years gone by. When expected to win we would put in an ordinary performance e.g. when Essendon decimated by the doping saga and fielded a reserves team that beat us. 2020's Dee's way better than that, though. Why are there 2 Friday night games this week anyway?
  21. When do we get to buy this streak video? Saints had one, remember.
  22. Freezing cold night. We were challenged but came though ok. Essendon supporters booing every decision was nauseating. Sooks.
  23. Tough tipping round to be honest. Did get the first one.
  24. What happens after he says shiny a few times? It sounds like Wiggins with the headmaster in a Derek & Clive routine.
