So many times I have thought... Please get rid of Robbo!! But now I don't particulary want to. However giving him a 3 year deal is wrong and id be somewhat [censored] off he got that. We have seen with some other players that 3 year deals are a massive risk, and with Robbos knee injuries its very dangerous. Id be happy with a 2 year deal. If he doesn't want it, move him to the dogs, throw in our pick 21 and get their first rounder and a bit player.

I don't think anybody would like that. Finals are wiked. And it kills to not be apart of it.
-
If what your propsing happened it would bloody well matter to any coach who finished top 4. If you took away that stuff from the Kanagas or the Eagles it would be the biggest controversy.

Wanna be a football analyst? Cause if you want to, you will make about 2 cents with that ingenious insight. Sorry to be a smart arse. I could see why you would think that. He has played up forward at Sandy, but he doesn't have the neccessary talent. I just can't see fergie beating a O'brien or Fisher or even a Dawson. Plus I wouldn't feel safe with him kicking for goal with the game on the line.

Farewell to 8 players - a Demonland special feature ...
Demons 32 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thanks, Good read -
Well it always takes a while for a big man to develop and it was hard to slide into an already powerful eagles side. Therefore a developing big man really had no place in that team. However he wasn't horrible, I happened to really watch out for him back at West Coast cause I liked using him in AFL on sony (weird reason to like but yeah). He had some strong games and did show something and by that account it didn't seem like a bad idea of the Dogs to get him. However it doesn't matter how good the player may or may not be. I just do not think a big man can fit into the doggies system, they use speed through run, handball. It doesn't accomodate the big forward like McDougal. They have running goals, Gian, Johnson, Murphy, Higgins, there line up and style accomodate small players. Like Rawling, McDougall and whoever most likely goes there this year. Will struggle.
-
I actually rate McDougal. Just think a big man will always struggle in the doggies system.

This is true

I don't think it has faded. All I here is that Melbourne supporters are MCC toffs who would rather the snow or hang out in the bar at a game. Being one of what im starting to think is very few MCC members who actually watch the game and cheer there heads off. I think that is alive and kicking. Hopefully all young demons supporters have kids and breed them to be rabid Melbourne supporters. The kind that are (not to the extent of Collingwood) somewhat loud, crazy, rabid, live, breathe and would die for their club. Lets hope.

I agree P burgoyne is a nice bet. Wouldn't be against putting a bit on Jonathon Brown. Def gonna take Scott Thompson punt. Avoiding Riewoldt and Franklin. Thanks for the tip smate. While sometimes I was like, god this blokes full on. But it's all good, just love ya footy. Thanks buddy.

I think they were talking about Lachie Henderson. He will be in this years draft. Lachie Hansen was a Roos choice. Lachlan Henderson is a big bodied forward who will play AFL (hopefully with us) next year. Sorry to correct but someone had to.

To right Rhino. It is pretty much time up for Fergie. Much like Godfrey and Ward, sadly for these guys, courage doesn't make it at AFL level.
-
Ferg was contracted and didn't wanna go.
-
Yes but how many more. Heres hoping Jamar, Ferguson and Warnock aren't in Melbourne jumpers next year!
-
It would be tough to let go of him cause I love him, but you just could not say no in a million years.
-
Im very happy about this. Although I wasn't against giving Hayes another year to see if he has something but im ok with it. Good to see Godders go. While he has been very serviceable. I have said for years, we cannot win a premiership with Godfrey in the team, said it about Godders, said about Nicho, towards the end about Ward. Can't have no skill in the AFL. This sounds very exciting that we have already culled 5. With 3 retirements. thats 8 players!!! Hoping to say good bye to Jamar and Ferguson also. Hopefully Warnock too. Im guessing they will try to trade Jamar where he may become a decent player.

There is no link. He says a reporter from The Age told him. Confirmation is the important thing here. Maybe something on news tonight.
-
Out of the 4. The outstanding is probably the least likely. But lets not start another Miller thread.
-
If this is true. Good to see this happen. Have always loved the warden but he has prob gotta go. And it will be adream come true if we have got rid of Godders, I love him cause he gives it his all every week. But you need more than giving your all in the AFL.

I never said pay him 900k? Sure you have got the right person? I agreed with you that 1 million was to much.......
-
I never clamied to be 100% on this. Just what I thought had occured. I still don't think it was all about ability and the list. I do think money was the major factor. But I don't know 100% and id be a scummy liar if I claimed to. Anyway, still on my original point, I really do not think Bruce will be traded, still, due to his contract and he is obviously our best player. However like many needs a kick up the bum.
-
He was let go because we couldn't afford under the cap. It was never said that we did to improve list. At the time we preffered paying Yze big bucks than Woey. It was never said that he was dead wood and we were trying to fix our list. He originally agreed to a pay cut but we still could not afford him so we partially paid what we could afford of his salary at Collingwood. It was a money issue, not as much a list one.
-
We pretty much paid for Collingwood in getting him, he did come 2nd in a best and fairest and averaged over 15 possesions a game for them. He wasn't pathetic. Correct if im wrong but surely paying the contract out of someone so highly paid does not at all help your side in the salary cap and year end profit.
-
1 Million dollars is definately to much. As Crawford said on the footy show, he wouldn't have a team.
-
Bruce won't be traded. He is contracted till 2010. He is highly paid. We made that huge commitment to him. Deal with it. He is not going anywhere unless he agrees (chance) and another team agrees to give up alot of money (Not likely). Or we will be forced to partially pay his salary. WHY WOULD WE DO THAT AGAIN.
