It isn't. The match is more intense but it still needs structure. Otherwise what was the point of the home and away season? Why bother playing your best team all season? To make finals? Could have come 8th and that would be it. West Coast played better that the pies this season. Therefore they deserve the home final. Old system they would get a home final week 1. But that system sucked. If you take away home final rights, second chances, there is no incentive to be the best, the home and away season would be boring.

OH MY GOD!!! What exactly are Freo getting??? Wheels is prob one of my fav ever players for the Demons but even my wheels blinded eyes can see that this trade you have mentioned is, just, no. Horrible deal, Freo would be coming off the worst by far. You just said he is, an injury prone 28 year old. Murphy is a big bodied YOUNG forward who has shown some promise. P.S Whelan shouldn't be traded anyway. Bad idea. He can't be blamed for his sides bad year. Plus he is one of the VERY VERY VERY few Demons players who gives a [censored].

Gotta love the Bald Badger. I think he is going to be a great coach. I wish I could have seen his presentation, to be a fly on the wall..... I would like to see him make Bate put in more. He frustrates me so much. To often I see him have the ball, run really fast and kick long (which is great). Then you see his man get the ball and he does this half arse run behind showing no ability to run without the ball and apply pressure (which is just pathetic and why I am not on the Bate-wagon)

I support the Melbourne boys at Sandy. Not really the club (don't go to the games, but will go for them on the TV) but those boys yeah. If Bizzell or Byron were playing I'd probably go but otherwise, it's just Sandy. Not that big on the VFL. Of course if they wore the Demons jumper, that would be different ha ha. Id play. retired at 18. Now 19, miss the game I served at junior and senior level for 10 years and more than 100 games under the belt. Some high best and fairest placings in divison 1. Should have at least something left in the motor. Go Demonland. Also, Tiger of old is a big boy, played many games in division 1. Was a terrific full forward/ forward pockett.

Rivers should stay down back, he has built up an impressive start to a career in that position. I like White in a forward pocket when we HOPEFULLY get this new ruckman. Newton should develop as a full forward. I don't like seeing him up the ground at all. I just cannot see Miller getting delisted. I think his old Coach Bailey will really want to keep him and use him correctly, being a strong lead up CHF. Im hoping Bailey can be smart about this and have what I consider, 2 CHF's. One (Miller) Leading hard up the ground. The other (Newton) filling the whole, playing as a goal scoring CHF. Might not happen but that would be a tandem, then we could use Miller for what he is very good at, and slowly develop Newton into the Full Forward we are all hoping for.

I hope that sort of talent makes the pre-season draft. Haselby still has alot left and is a superstar. Really think he needs a change. Charman has become a really stron ruckman at Brisbane, thats why I don't think he will get to pre-season draft. Jolly could still work, I wouldn't be upset if we got him. Love to get big Seaby, he is agile, he was behind Gardiner, now Cox, will be very good once given the correct oppurtunities.

You wrote Trav/Bruce, and pick 21 and Miller or CJ for Pick 7 and Robbie Warnock. And even if it was TJ OR Bruce, pick 21, Miller OR CJ for pick 7 and Robbie Warnock. Its still bad. With 21 we could prob get a ruckman just as good as Warnock. So essentially, we are giving Bruce or Johno and Miller or CJ and Pick 21 for pick 7. I don't like it. I could possibly deal with just Bruce for pick 7. But they might not do that, then you throw in a sweetener, but I do think Miller is safe.

Ever think a few people on here mayb be 17, 18, 19 years old and have played against, know, seen at junior level in there life time. Alot of people are their bloody age and are in their age group at footy!!!!!!!!!

Love Port, Think there an awesome side. But the Eagles are the best team in the league. They won 6 out of there last 7. They weren't to great at beginning of year but Cousins makes a huge difference. The BIG loss is Kerr.

Warnock could be a number 1 ruckman. But he is not worth Bruce and Johnstone.
