The past 3 weeks we've played bottom sides and the Bulldogs (who can't defend). The most impressive thing we did these 3 weeks was be 46pts up against the Saints who are tracking well with the underlying numbers.

This is going to sound crazy, but I don't think Gawn is great when we lose. It's probably unfair as we know little about what happens inside the 4 walls. However, he has plenty of interviews where, in my opinion, he gives off a laid back attitude/vibe. Probably because it's in his nature to be light hearted, crack a joke etc. I think on the other side of the coin you have Jack, who in his first year was telling his teammates he was embarrassed at the lack of fight in the team. So a middle ground probably needs to be struck. Further to BoBo's point, one thing that stuck with me was an interview Oliver did after we lost to Adelaide by a few points in the season we won the flag. The battling Crows ended our long unbeaten run, and spoiled Clarry's milestone game from memory. Oliver had 30+ and kicked 2 or 3, basically willed us to the line and we lost. Post game he just said: "not a lot of positives to take to be honest, I hate losing." Those words from Oliver made me believe we were on for the flag more than any of our previous performances. So now when I look at Clarry and the other senior boys, I ask myself, do they hate losing as much as they once did?

I'd personally keep all 3, but not play all 3 at centre bounce ever again. I think 1 of the 3 should be in there with 2 of Rivers, Pickett, Windsor, Langford, and Lindsay going forward. Question for the pod - Your the GM, your call to make on what happens with Richardson, Griffith's, Choco, Chaplin, Jones and Bassett at end of the season. My dream was a complete revamp. However, I think the club needs some consistency. I'd axe Griffiths, Jones and Bassett. Move Chaplin back as defensive line coach. Head hunt best midfield (Cam Bruce, Matthew Boyd) and forwards coach (Brad Miller, Scott Burns, Scott Selwood) possible.

I can't believe people are ripping into Viney when Disco gave up 3 goals through brain dead decisions. His effort on the last Naughton goal was as bad as anything we've seen this season.

I wanted Horse because as others have said, our club has a vacuum of football heads at the club. Without knowing him personally or really following him closely, to me he also had an aura similar to Roos that I feel we need. Someone who could clip the ears of those who needed it and wrap his arms around those who needed that. Now, if Bucks is the option we go with, I just hope he is treated the same as all other candidates and has to impress during his interview and isn't given the job on name value. Buckley has been out of the game for a fair while. Which can be seen positively and negatively. His last few years at Collingwood actually remind me of Goody this season. Trying to change a gameplan with a team who couldn't hit a target. Hopefully, his time away has made him reflect on what went wrong and he has gotten new, fresh ideas. One thing I saw mentioned in this thread which has concerned me a bit, is that he is sounding out his old assistants. Get 1 or 2 in sure, but I think as a club we need to enforce that we want the best assistants available. Jobs for mates always bothers me. I think we really need a new FD head. Lost trust in Richardson these past few years. Need someone well respected who can support Buckley (or whoever takes the job).

How can we be so restrained by our salary cap if we are losing players? This is what I don't get when we hear the claims our cap is tight. Why? We LOST more quality than we brought in. Also, is it not the List Managers job to manage the salary cap? more failure.

Anyone watch D. King on First Crack tonight? Just repeated what I've been saying since 2021, not enough elite talent has come in to this club in those years, and our strengths have degraded because we are still relying on the same few players to win us games. If a podcast does happen. Is there a rule that stops AFL clubs from appointing and having a President and CEO start mid season. Because I am disgusted that Brad Green has been left to see out the season while the two new guys are on holidays. The club is rudderless and we are meant to be happy for the new guys to come in after the season ends?

A lot less activity on here than I thought there would be. Probably shows the fact there are people like me who were smiling when they kicked the winner. If Goodwin's here next year, I won't be wasting my time watching.

Kolt needs to be told unless we get a load of injuries, he is staying in the VFL for the rest of the year and he needs to meet targets for a chance at Round 1 next year.

The move of putting Bowey to half forward will be talked about for at least 7 minutes on the podcast this week as a reason for Goodwin to get an extension.
