  1. Love this post I saw on Freo's BigFooty today: "Pick 4 going to Melbourne makes me physically ill. Not even the most pessimistic of supporters last October in trade week could have seen this coming. I thought maybe it could be pick 9 or 10 and that would still be expensive but I could live with that. Jason Taylor and the Dees recruiters must be laughing their asses off at us. We are the gift that keeps on giving as far as Melbourne list management is concerned. If there’s any semblance of pride and anger left in our club we have to try win 3 or 4 more games and push that pick out a bit. Avoidance of ridicule if nothing else"
  2. I've just pivoted here from the "What they're saying at Punt Rd" thread. Please, PLEASE boys - put them to the sword by 50+.
  3. What on earth? Why would they think either of the following: - Lever a faux tough guy? - We would view a game against a team sitting 10th as our grand final? These people are insane. Much like us I guess.
  4. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that if you had your time again writing this comment you'd include Viney in that list of A-graders

I have Woey ahead of Spargo. Spargo's mind is as slow as mud when he takes a mark and his kick penetration is liabilty. Woey showing enough signs, and can kick a footy further than 30 metres.
  6. Fine, I'll say it if no one else will ... Coaching record aside, Is Goody the right guy?
  7. This may be the case now, but it prudent for the club to explore options like this for our younger players. Brown is on his last legs, and we are in a 3 year premiership window at a minimum. Development of young players is key to extending our window.
  8. Absolutely love choc. Elite spiritual leader.
  9. For anyone thinking that wasn't a good performance and that we should have won more easily, think again. Adelaide are a great team and could easily have been a strong top 8 team this year if a few results went their way in close games, and they were playing for their season yesterday. I'm encouraged by a number of young players coming into form, such as Koz, Chin and JVR. Melksham is exceeding my expectations at the moment, which makes for an interesting dilemma when it comes to Fritta when he's fit again. The usual suspects were immense, won't even bother naming them because you know who they are. Rivers continues to impress the hell out of me. Great result, on to the next!
  10. You can really see how the BJJ training he does with his brother pays off
  11. No huge loss if we're being honest. He's served as well as depth, but I certainly wouldn't lose sleep over this one.
  12. I can confirm this. I was born in Adelaide and last night I was looking for my phone for a good 2 minutes while holding it.

No. I would express this in more colorful terms if DL didn't have a profanity filter.

Soon enough I'll look back on 2020 as the good old days of hard footy, similar to how I looked back to the 80's and 90's in 2020. How depressing is that.

What all these commentators seem to be missing is the fact Gawn probably only has a good year or 2 left in him as the primary ruck, at which point Brody will take the helm while Gawn spends his twilight years up forward.

Could have been a great player Sam. We'll never see it though.
  17. Rivers is having an unbelievable season. His signature will be as important as anyone's when he's contract is up
  18. Out: Petty, Spargo In: Chandler, Smith
  19. How good is jarred rivers
  20. Frothing for an update on this thread
  21. Met Sophie in WA in 2013 (or 2014 cant exactly remember), she was great company!
  22. Wouldn’t the point be that we would be expecting to see an increase in his output after a few seasons rather than a plateau?
  23. I’m sure they’ve watched Brisbane play at the MCG since forever
  24. Petracca appears to be dropping the ball far too high. Easy fix I reckon
