First to put my hand up and say I spat the dummy early in a rare game day thread contribution from me. If we play like that with a good run of injuries next year then there’s no reason we won’t be right in the thick of it again. JVR showing we might not need to bring in a KPF in after all. Disco and Petty both excellent as well. Game of the year for Jack, could really sense he was out for blood today and ended up soundly beating Rowell. Langdon immense, Rivers ok but his disposal is very suss at the moment. Good win from the lads, really happy with the way we went about it today.

This is the type of thing executive leaders are there to achieve in footy clubs. Any suggestion the playing or coaching group draw any energy from people like this would be fanciful at best.

Always loved ANB, I wish him all the best in fatherhood and his future footy club. He will be hard to replace for his gut running and defensive pressure. The club absolutely should do the right thing by him and let him go, regardless of what we get in return. Premiership players deserve that respect. On the other hand, he's always been a butcher of the ball so the bright side is we'll have one less of those types on the list.

Because player agents strategically leak stuff like this all the time. They don’t give a stuff about the club, all they care about is getting the best possible contract for the player.

Thought we played a lot better last night. Lacked the polish to finish the job against a red hot contender though. Loved Kozzie’s game. Absolutely embarrassing reactions in here. No words in this thread will have any sort of effect on how things play out. The club will part with Goodwin when they feel the time is right. Judgement should be reserved once his tenure is complete, not during. He's lead this team to a flag before, no reason he can't do it again. I'm confident we'll be right in it again next year if we get a better run of injuries. Injuries has had a huge toll this year, along with Clarry's preseason. Resilience is required, both from the playing group and some very reactionary supporters around here.

A few people here have an extremely unhealthy emotional attachment to this footy club. Get help.

I don’t think last night was a disaster by any means. Actually loved how we fought hard till the end. Obviously the second and third quarters weren’t ideal. We are a 2-3 goal better team with Petracca playing and I believe we’d have won at least 2 more games since he went down with him out there. Breathe. We have a very promising young list at this stage. We’ll be right in the thick of it again next year with some luck injury wise.
