  1. So much hard work needs to go into a premierships, so much money, so many boxes need to be ticked - it’s easy for MB to say what he did. 1/ if he is right - you will hear it on the promos for Months 2/ if he is wrong - all will be forgotten time finals come around
  2. They have had a ton of publicity over the last week many of “their little secrets” are now hitting the streets. I’m sticking with them for 1 more year then hopefully I can finally look at us. Go Dees
  3. From all the “noise” a few days ago now the ideas from Demonland are flowing in. Go Dees
  4. Malcolm Blight - is not the messiah he is a very naughty boy!!!!
  5. I’m positively looking forward to this year - we have a very bright future in a very competitive environment. I’m sure we will have our ups and downs as all teams do. However, we have the right formula both on and off the field to play finals football in 2018. It has been a long time coming and some of us never gave up hope - many of our supporters have show resilience beyond belief - Hopefully their wait is nearly over. Go Dees
  6. I too have an interesting warm-up stat, normally every game we have a margin tipping competition where all entries must be in prior to the end of the warm-ups. Now, generally speaking if more people in the group tip us - we win, if less people tip us - we lose. With the exception of 1 game per year Anzac eve I cant get Peggy O'Neal or Brendan Gale to tip us for the life of me. So my question is - When are we going to run our nearest to the pin tipping comp - little do some people know our computer is very accurate at margin betting. Shivers I could lose a valuable revenue stream, which I often donate back to the MCG.
  7. Thank-you for your input - a certain serenity has returned over the thread. Despite the obvious abuse, insults & misquotes that arise from certain individuals - hopefully we can get back to Demonland offering some positive input into finding an alternative source of income - irrespective of the outcome of other revenue sources. Thank-you also for engaging with others who I don't see all their posts ( for obvious reasons ). I'm looking forward to being flooded with positive innovative ideas. Maybe Grapeviney can take it up on the podcasts - just a thought. Go Dees
  8. Deemania we are resilient for a reason, we have won the heart of our CEO for that very reason. Some of us will never give up on this great club, we refuse to pick fights with the AFL, we refuse to pick fights with our CEO and board, we will support our coaches and administration staff in a positive manner irrespective of whom they might be. Every player past and present gets our support ( yes, even reluctantly T Scully ) - we seek an innovative positive culture and I look forward to Demonland contributing with a few positive ideas. I love the direction Demonland is heading with the Podcasts - removing the AFL media filter- sorry I have no time for the AFL media. Go Dees
  9. Where did you get that notion? Nay its all just lip-service - nothing to worry about the clubs poker machine revenues are all fine. ( ???? ) But if just on the off chance you are all wrong and DaveyDee is right - an alternative income stream idea would be awesome.
  10. Think you will find Collingwood are a long way down the track to selling their machines - https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/pies-close-in-on-ground-breaking-deal-to-sell-pokies-to-racing-club-20180215-p4z0ic.html Yes, but Im sure aside from me that is just more "spin" - but I respect your right as a mod to critique whoever you see fit. Dont say you did not hear it here first, Collingwood, Geelong, Richmond & Bulldogs are out. Essendon & St Kilda - I cant say for sure, but I suspect Essendon will not want to further upset the AFL, and Saints are so heavily funded by AFL I suspect they will follow suit. That leaves 3 teams - not much of a majority - Hawthorn & MFC - tad more difficult here - time and alternative sources of income are the issues Blues - I'm split on this one but i suspect the favourable fixture and new stadium deals are "sweetners" to get the deal done.
  11. Not a problem! Then an alternative source of income is just a pure bonus to help us further build our FD look forward to your ideas on that topic
  12. Ok so now its clear cut a revenue stream is clearly on the outer, its a matter of when not if, again as I said on the very first post. Again , I appreciate everybody bumping the thread but hopefully we get back to the topic seeking alternatives. But then again if it prompts somebody with a great idea to direct contact the club I'm more than happy with that.
  13. If you are implying Monash University are "agenda pushers" and clearly discrediting their reputation - That is a comment you need to direct towards The Chazz - who bumped the thread. But it is an interesting twist in your line of discussion - first you where of the opinion that the mere existence of a report was "laughable" now you are discrediting the institutions themselves. I'm personally more than comfortable with our association with Educational Institutions - as I said to The Chazz. Finally, now its clear what is up for discussion. Hopefully we can get back on topic and find ways to deliver alternative revenue streams. Sorry, to repeat myself, I dont care if they stay or go. Look forward to reading your ideas on growing our revenue streams.
  14. She was amazing these days I just sit and watch her without one cent on her - as they say the more you bet the more you win. Im looking forward to watching her career in the breeding barns - if she ever gets there!!!!
  15. That’s actually not a bad idea - I worked/employed a Professor at Swinburne University for years on sports betting analysis sadly these days Professor Clark is retired but he was a huge fan of sports betting. Not all forms of gambling are the same the AFL and educational institutions understand that. Maybe you create some sort of sellable report discussing - How a mug and their money are easily parted. However, there will be large amounts of mathematical information in it - so tough reading for the English students - but such is life.
  16. Fantastic post thanks for taking the time to do it - your whole family look awesome in red & blue. Go Dees
  17. Again that’s a topic you would have to discuss with our AFL recommend CEO ... the AFL’ s & SANFL agreement is very complicated and not the idea of the thread
  18. That would be your conclusion I prefer to look for ways to find alternative revenue streams. It would not worry me if they stay or go.
  19. Only on Demonland would you get MFC supporters talking about tanking.
  20. with Melbourne chief executive Peter Jackson calling it “a good fixture from both a football and supporters’ perspective”. http://m.melbournefc.com.au/news/2017-10-31/melbournes-2018-fixture-announced You are laughable - again you want to pick fights withour CEO You have no idea how you own club is run - hahaha
  21. You have nailed it - much will have to do about where you are in “the cycle” both on and off the field. What will look like a poor descision by one club may be a winner for another club. ”Topping up “ is a legitimate proven strategy when you are in a position to “top up”
  22. Hahaha - interesting. Did the AFL “recommend” Peter Jackson our CEO? Did the AFL “loan” us 1 million dollar plus for the MFC to survive? Did the AFL approve our Board of Directors? Now how does the future of of playing stocks look like - very positive if you ask me Oh but that doesn’t suit you - you just want to pick fights with the AFL and argue with our current CEO & Board of Directors. Im happy to look for alternative revenue streams You need to toddle off and talk about the important issues like our clash guersey, who we play and where we play them, Jack Watts etc etc etc Unlike you I don’t let personal issues get in the way of my support for the MFC. I’m happy with the AFL, I’m happy with our CEO and board of Directors, hell I will support whoever we play at full-back full forward or any position on the ground - I will even support our boot stuffer. You on the other hand - we’ll its all about your personal issues - best of luck with that.
  23. Maybe that’s a question you need to direct to our AFL recommend CEO Peter Jackson & our AFL approved Board of Directors - best of luck - you are laughable. It’s quite clear you have no understanding of how your own club is run. Unlike you I support our current MFC administration & the AFL
  24. No. As you were not aware of the report was the reason I posted it. I made no comment about its content. K The agenda as I said from post 1 is remove poker machines from Victorian AFL clubs, hence why we need to find alternative sources of income
  25. The pledge per win is a well used idea - I would be interested to know how much it raises per round. Going back to the supporters time after time for me is not the answer - we need to find ways of getting non-MFC supporters to contribute.
